3x08 - "Shattered"

Lex locates Morgan Edge and gets him to admit that he helped Lionel murder his parents. Before Lex can take it to the authorities, someone tries to kill him. Lex flees and asks Clark for help. Evidence begins to amount that suggests Lex has had a psychotic break. Lex watches Clark slam into Edge's car, after Clark pushes him out of harm's way. Lex's doctors arrive and take him to Belle Reve sanitarium.

Amazing episode! It’s arguably Michael’s best performance on the show, I always reference it when telling others what a great actor he is.

Completely agree, this episode is just fantastic.

And really was a huge acting episode for Michael and it's so suspense that it keeps you on the edge about who is correct with this whole Lex thing. I am so happy to be rewatching this episode tonight.

Lex putting in some code and it seems like someone is watching Lex.

Clark is taking a risk not telling Jonathan Lex is in the room, he could have said something about Clark's secret

This is one of those episodes that just gets me up and hyped because I remember how great it is!

Going to be quite a roller coaster episode for Lex.

Lex at the barn.

Lex tells Clark about everything going on! Clark wants to know who is trying to kill Lex...

Even when I watched this for the first time, I ruled off Lionel trying to kill Lex in this episode.

Clark being a great friend and saying he'll go to the mansion... and if asked he'll play dumb.

Ingrid when you first watched this, did you think Lex was going crazy or did you believe all of this was a frame/set up job?

And yes it was like being at the Twilight Zone.

Hm I'm not sure what I thought. Probably both, Lex going crazy because he was being set up.
