Season 9/10 were not great for Chlark. They both changed so much. Chloe didn't idolize im as much and grew confident and a little darker. Clark didn't depend on Chloe as much either. They were both really growing into their own and what happened in season 8 damaged their trust in each other a little bit.

yeah Chloe running off and going behind Clark's back...and her stopping him from putting him in the PZ and then Jimmy getting killed because of it and Chloe expecting Clark to go back in time and save Jimmy
