jette_ and now.it.all.begins have been discussing this, and we think that it may be time to close this board. Our post counts have been declining over the past few months and we have very few regular posters. As you know, Fan Forum requires that we average at least 15 posts per day, with lower numbers than that leading to warnings and then possible closure of the board. We would prefer to go out under our own terms rather than be forced to close due to low post counts.

Please let us know what you think. We'd be glad to hear any suggestions or advice to renew interest here. Remember that to keep the board going, we need the commitment of a few regular, dedicated posters. As much as we love this board, please don't just post to "save" the board and then disappear again, because we'll be in the same position that we're in now if you do.

Another thing to consider is that the show has been off the air for more than four years now and at times it is difficult to think of new topics for discussion and/or new games and activities to keep our current posters interested in the board much less draw in new posters. Additionally, our lives have gotten increasingly busy over the past few years and we struggle to meet our required posting minimum.

We value and respect your opinion so again please let us know what you think as soon as possible. Thank you so much for your commitment to this board. The SV board has been on fanforum for at least ten years now and has been one of our favourite places to visit. It's become a home away from home for us and we appreciate the time and effort you have all put into making this board a friendly, welcoming, engaging community.

I would really love for this board to stay. I post as much as I can,but can increase that even more. I know posts have been lower but I feel like we’ve gotten better lately after that warning from a few months ago. I understand about wanting to go out on a stronger note, but I would definitely be saddened to see it go. I love Smallville, the community here and how things such as the episode survivor have increased show discussion.

I know our post count is getting lower but like MiniAnneBoleynx8 said, I feel like we've been doing better. It is hard to keep this board going with the show being gone for some years now but how about a trial period? Let's see how this month's posting numbers are and then decide if it's worth it to keep it open? I for my part will try to post more than I have been doing. Although it might be hard with work and school but I'll try my best .

I'm torn because a few months ago I was wondering the same thing to be honest, the show has been off air for long and it can be a struggle to come up with new things to talk about in the relationship threads especially, so a single discussion thread might make more sense.

At the same time though I would miss the forum as there isn't really anywhere else where I discuss SV, and I am having fun lately with the episode survivor threads, I was hoping to get to some of the later seasons as I find it really interesting seeing which episodes are popular and which aren't (some of the voting for seasons 1 and 2 kind of surprised me!) I guess that we could still continue survivor in a single thread in the tv forum, as well as chatting about the show, but then I'm not sure how many people would still take part if it's not in a SV forum, most of the single tv threads seem pretty dead to me tbh

Yeah, I think a trial period within the confines of the forum could be a good idea. Hopefully it would help!

Well I personally would love this board to stay. I feel I can post more...as I have been lately.
However, I do understand that this board want to leave on a high note and not be forced out... but it would be sad for me to see this board gone.

The only other suggestion I have is to make more Superman related threads? that way we will always have new stuff to discuss. MOS is the new movie coming out in 2016, so probably a different thread to focus on the movie verse?

I know there's not much I can say since I haven't posted here in quite awhile, but I would miss this board. I just had to say that, it's one of my favorite boards that I keep in mind, I had fun times here ... I feel bad I haven't posted in so long; you guys have done a great job in keeping it going and I respect your decisions.
