*Threads like this always go a lot better with spirited, intelligent debate about why you dislike the character, how you can improve her, etc, etc. Posts like that are greatly appreciated, and come on--you have to have a reason for disliking the character? So why not discuss it in detail?

*The thread is for the discussion of why people have problems with the Lana character. Therefore, it is *not* the place for Lana supporters who think the character can do no wrong, because people *will* say things here that might offend you. If you have something to share about what's wrong with the Lana character, then come on in! If you think Lana is the greatest thing ever, then you'll be better off at the Lana Appreciation Thread, not here.

*This thread is for the discussion of the character of Lana. Again, this is for *character themed* posts. Discussing how the writers are writing the character is fine--actress comments are not.

In Episode #308 called "Shattered", this noble steed became a hero to many when he stomped on Lana, landing her in hospital. We recognize his brave attempt to rid the world of pink evil, and we honor him for it.

I'm kinda happy this thread title was chosen. It makes me feel special.

Season three Lana is annoying. In the first episode, she acts like she has more of a right to be upset about Clark than Chloe (I have a thing about this WHY IS SHE SO GODDAMN SELFISH?!) and then, despite proclaiming to be in love with him, she decides that she has to stay away from him, which, one would assume, would rid us of her forever, but no, on with the whiny angsty will they/won't they - NO THEY WON'T END IT ALREADY!

Wow, I'm really feeling the Lana hate right now.

I don't want to have to listen to her babbling ever again, nothing she ever says is of any interest.

I HATED Lana in the first episode of Season 4. When she snittily says to Chloe "No, I think you've done enough." Because Chloe knew where Clark was and didn't tell her? Bitch. I just kept thinking, where the HELL does she get off?

Shattered is also another episode where Lana *really* bugs me more than usual. Her entire speech about her needing to stay away from Clark because "he" keeps hurting "her"? What total bull. I have a feeling that scene was supposed to make us all feel sorry for poor, neglected Lana but all it made me feel was extreme anger and the urge to jump through the t.v. screen and rip her little pink head off. I just kept thinking, Um, right, Clark's the one that keeps hurting you? YOU'RE the one who won't be with him because he won't divuldge every single friggin secret about himself to you.

I mean, Clark *warned* her that Lex could be dangerous and she went and visited him anyway, asking him if he wanted some tea. Um, HELLO? What made her think offering a guy who thinks he's being friggin DRUGGED a drink? It was HER fault she got trampled by the horse, yet she has the nerve to go and deliver that bogus line of needing to stay away from Clark. What a stupid twit.

Sorry, all of my posts have been extremely ranty but Lana really brings out the hostility. She seems to be getting a little bit better in S4 but I know it's only a matter of time until DOMOS botch that up and have something completely outrageous or disgusting come out of her mouth. Next week's episode looks like the time has come.

I have been a little less harsh on Lana lately, but only because she hasn't done much and isn't moping around about Clark and hasn't said or done anything *too* self-centered yet, so I can tollerate her. But Facade... I have a feeling that'll be the end of my tollerance as the entire episode looks to be one gigantic pimp mobile for how "beautiful" KK/Lana is. Yes. She's pretty. We get it. You can stop with the constant pimpage of it.

And what really irks me is the fact that, according to Al and Miles and whoever else, Ho!Yay is absurd and innappropriate, yet girl-on-girl-action involving Lana is acceptable? Could they BE anymore disgusting and lude? I mean, I don't know why I'm surprised. I knew it was only a matter of time until they came up with a way to devote the entie show to Lana's perfectness and beauty.

You know, I keep telling myself that I shouldn't get worked up over it, it's just a fictional character on a t.v. show, but the fact is that the said fiction character is putting a gigantic black spot on all of Superman, and while I'm not a huge Comics buff, it's very disrespectful for the DOMOS to continue on with this kind of character. I like Lex and Lionel and Chloe, and Martha, and sometimes even Clark, and the actors that play them, but Lana and KK make me HATE the show sometimes.

Didn't you love it when the creepy shower guy said “…most beautiful girl in high school” and Lana walked by? Timing I tell ya! Good of the writers to remind us how perfect she is, because God forbid we forget. How does Lana get three guys practically falling over themselves to see if she’s okay? For ***** sake, I know it’s course, but I think the male population of SV should just line up outside her door and have a go. Maybe it’ll get her outta their system.

You know what else ticks me off (to add to the myriad of things that do) about Lana this season? The whole AlMiles policy to not dress her up in pink. They view her pink-less attire as some sort of departure or change from who she used to be. It's disgusting. Lana walking around in black (especially that black off the shoulder thingy she wore in Facade) to show that she's "tres" sophisticated and sexier now that she went to Paris and spread her legs...oops, I mean wings is a cheap ploy. It's like we're supposed to say, "Oh, you know how you guys bitched about her being the Pink Princess? Well, she isn't anymore. She wears black now. See? She's changed. LOVE her. LOVE her."

Well, sorry, wearing black doesn't make her more appealing. She's still selfish, still whining, still getting in trouble and we still *****ing hate her. Gah, at this point, I'm all, 'Bring back the pink!"

Oh and when Jason was telling her about her father in the drama room, she looked interested in him and his for life a second and I was like, "Yay, she's listening to someone else's sob story." ...And then Jason, the hot idiot, ruined it and told her it was All. About. Her. NOOOO! Do not reinforce her belief. Please! Jason, you poor, poor miserable bastard, this was your only chance. *shakes head in disappointment*

Loved the rant Jamie You know... they're trying really hard to get us to like Lana, and it's all just making us hate her more. They go on and on about how everyone loves her, how every male (and most females) fall in love with her, and how evil people want to hurt her because she's so pretty.

The tattoo thing was just another sad attempt. I also really don't give a crap about seeing close up shots of it... even if it does somehow tie in to some destiny/fate crap on which the entire Superman myth is based. It's not going to make any sense.

Does anyone remember that Goth!Lana site that existed waaaay back in season one? Her new look's kinda starting to remind me of that
