Imagine a Supergirl series
Assuming Laura Vandervoort would be Kara/Supergirl would you keep with the mythology or go from where Smallville leaves off?
Either Kara is adopted by the Danvers and lives with them as mythology or as the animated series had it she stays in Smallville with Clark's parents (his mother since Jonathan has died). My take is that she can't live in Metropolis where Clark/Superman is and risk being related to being his sidekick. So she would either to live in Smallville or a different town entirely with new friends (not his but hers) and gain an identity for herself. So what do you guys think? |

I'd like for them to stick with already existing mythology. Main reason, I really like our JLA members, so it would be good to see them maybe guest starring occasionally.
But I'd definitely go with some other town as an option. Maybe even Metropolis could work? They could say that Clark is training and won't be back for a long time? __________________

I can say that you most likely won't have to imagine, b/c it may happen in 2 years.
They may spin off Kara into her own show after SV S8. Very high possibility of that happening __________________

Metropolis is where Superman is unless its like the Six Million Dollar Man/Bionic Woman scerio where they do share the same space refer to each other but are independent of each other's lives except for an occasional crossover.
Sticking with Mythology does sound good but can be limiting. but I do have a question: How long was Clark Superman when Kara enteres his life? A year or longer. Last edited by Bronson; 10-21-2007 at 03:37 PM |

It's only a matter of time before a Supergirl series comes out. I can't wait

Bronson, there are several answers to your question b/c of the various comics that are now canon
In this particular storyline in the comics, he's been superman for a while. SV kind of "stole" the core of the story for the show and are making it their own. __________________

Well if AlMiles would be in charge, they do like to create their own canon.
