The dynamic between Oliver and Clark and their theories on being a hero is really fascinating to watch. I enjoyed Clark having someone who was his equal really question his methods and force him to think about what truly matters.

It's crazy that in the END of this, OLIVER WAS CORRECT.:eek: Splitting Davis from the Beast was one of the biggest mistakes that Clark made.:gone:

I love Clark but his code of etchics unfortunately did not work when it came to Davis...

HOWEVER, I BLAME THIS ON CHLOE!
Clark was going to send Davis to the Phantom Zone in 8x20 and Chloe stopped him.:(

At least Clark tried. Honoring his code of not killing anyone. :(

It's very intriguing that they had Clark be SO WRONG about this Davis situation.:eek:

The ending of the "Doomsday" is the start of Clark's dark path because he was so wrong.:( And the start of the distance between Chloe/Clark friendship because of what Chloe did with this Davis situation.:(

Whoa, I didn't even realize we were on a new Tess/Oliver thread. AWESOME, it's beautiful!

And agree with both of you. The build up to the finale of Season 8 with Clark's morality failing to save Jimmy or Davis was a really interesting lesson. He did have to think about the fact that Oliver and Tess both warned him over and over that this was not the time to be merciful, and that they turned out to be right.

I thought it was a great storyline.

Yeah but that code just didn't work for Davis since it turned out of course that Davis and the Beast were equally terrible. lol

However, Chloe should have just allowed Clark to send him to the Phantom Zone in 8x20 and everything would have been okay right now.:shrug:

Sadly "Doomsday" episode was just rough for so many characters and easily my least favorite season finale of Smallville.

The ending with Tess and that purple light thing. lol :eek:
