I LOVE that when Clark asks for Tess's help and tells her his friend's name is Oliver Queen, she turns away from Clark as the tears gather in her eyes. It's just a couple of seconds, but we see that her love for him is still there. ♥️

Same! and I loved how Tess instantly knew that Lex had an obsession with Clark. She told Clark that it wasn't a real friendship, it was more of an obsession and I pretty much agree with the rest.

I do feel the biggest change for Tess to be REALLY GOOD is when she learned Clark's secret though.

But as far as the audience, you're right. We needed to understand that Tess was once so different than who we're seeing as the head of the Luthor dynasty. It gives us a connection to her, a reference to who she was, and keeps us interested in WHY she is who she is now.

I agree with you.

I think you are correct about it being important for both but yeah I meant in terms of the audience knowing the person who Tess is, this was so important. Just to see what drove her to become the way she is today.
