The 12th episode of "Smallville" Season 7 airs in the U.S. on Thursday, February 14th, 2008 at 8.00pm. Titled "Fracture", here's the official (spoiler filled) description from The CW...

"Lois (Erica Durance) follows Lex (Michael Rosenbaum) to Detroit and discovers he has found Kara (Laura Vandervoort), who has amnesia. Finley (guest star Corey Sevier), a busboy who is obsessed with Kara, fears Lex will take her away, so he shoots Lex and holds Kara and Lois captive. After Lex's comatose body is found, Chloe (Allison Mack) offers to heal him, but Clark (Tom Welling) refuses to let her."

This episode was so good, I loved the interaction between Clark and Lex.. it was wild. Then Alexander(good lex) finding a friendship in Clark was sweet, and how Clark told him that he will always be his friend and that he'll never let him go. To me, I do think that Clark finally realizes how Lex's life was life and that nothing wasn't all what It seemed. I think that he knows somewhere inside of Lex that there is goodness within and that one day he will let some of it shine right through.

Also the Lionel/Lex scene where Lionel tells Lex that he loves him.. and then Lex just walks away without saying a word, it's almost as if he didn't want to hear those words... maybe a sign of weakness from Lionel.

I don't blame Lex for his actions, because throughout his life that's all he wanted his dad to say to him.. it takes a moment of life and death for Lionel to play the father role and actually start caring for his own son. When he had so many years to do so;

The only thing that I disliked about this episode was that they didn't really step deeper into Lex's mind, as far as what made him the person he is today. It would of been something, to see more of Lex's past and how he was treated when he was younger. That's would of been something interesting to see.

Setup into Lex's mind was odd but the time was great spent in it. Liked the Chlark scene and Lex forcing Clark to watch the intimate scene was very Lex-like.

I really liked this episode! It was interesting to take a look into the mind of Lex Luthor. Seeing Alexander so fearful of Lex--that was heartbreaking! But I loved all the Chlark stuff and seeing Chloe use her power was so cool!

see this is why Grant was never a real luthor in the first place. he died when he got shot.

I loved the part where Lex grabbed clark's head and made him watch Lana riding him in his memory. the look on clark's face as he tried to look away but couldn't was just great. lol.

what was Lois thinking showing Lex the cell phone pic and expecting him to just hand it back?

Lois: uhh aren't you gonna give me back my cell phone?
Lex: no. cause i'm EVIL

I totally agree, it's like seeing such a pravite side of Lex, which was through Alexander.. I felt bad for Alexander, he had such fear and was so alone just made me have such sympathy for him. I thought that good side was gone forever, but I guess I was wrong.. in fact Lex does have good inside of him, but he just won't show it. I think he showed alittle bit of his good nature to Lana..

Me too, I loved that scene... I loved Clark's reaction; priceless. It was almost as if Clark's eyes were going to burn from his heat vision or something; that's how bothered he was by it. I just loved Lex in this scene, he was down right evil(which I loved)

Well that was a fantastic episode. Best one this year.
Thank you show for remembering what SV used to be about - Clark and Lex.

Poor Lex how many times has he been shot now?

That right there? It the reason this episode rocked so hard!
It was good to see that there's still some good in Lex.
I'm ignoring the whole Alexander=evil, Lex=good thing that was set up earlier in Onyx, but ignored here.

Lex's mind is a fascinating place.
We knew most of the things - Lionel being a bastard, Lex&Lana being happy. But Clark didn't, or didn't really want to believe it. It was interesting to see him faced with live, moving evidence.

"Promise me that we will see each other again."
"I promise Clark."
"Promise me this too: That you will never stop fighting. You're stronger than you think."
"How do you know?"
"Because you're my friend. And now I know you're here, so I will always keep an eye out for you. I'll always be there for you."
That was seriously too good!! Such fantastic scene.
And I loved the actor who played young Lex.

"Trust me Lex, there's nothing that's lost that can't be found again"

Thank you show!! I always claimed those two will never go too far in their nemesis ways (kill the other one) because of their past, and voila - confirmed.

I don't like that it takes longer and longer for Chloe to bounce back up from being dead. Should I start worrying?

Lois was great. Loved how she tracked Lex down.
"That was a rhetorical question Lex!" line cracked me up!

And I like her protectiveness of Kara.

It's good to have Kara back.
But what? Are her abilities gone?

Lex got her to trust him. I kinda doubt the test he talked about is any good.
We shall see...

Ha, Lex is still a #1 fan of mama Kent's cooking.

"Did it ever occur to you to pick up a phone and call me?"
"I did call. Twice. Lana hanged up on me before I could get a word out."


The episode had a bit Matrix-y feel. What with the doors and scene in the rain at the beginning of the episode.

But please show, stop using Torchwood's music! It's confusing as hell! I guess I don't have to wonder what music composers watched during the summer.
