Smallville 10x19 "Dominion" Episode Discussion
ZOD (CALLUM BLUE) RETURNS IN JUSTIN HARTLEY'S DIRECTORIAL DEBUT EPISODE Tess (Cassidy Freeman) learns that General Slade was found unconscious on a street corner, proof that someone has gained access to the Phantom Zone's escape portal and sent him back. Clark (Tom Welling) decides to return to the exiled land to make sure other phantoms are not fleeing and is furious when Oliver (Justin Hartley) tricks Clark into taking him along. With Clark's powers gone, the two are immediately captured by the Zoners who take them to their new leader, Zod (Callum Blue), who is thirsting for revenge on Clark for banishing him to this Kryptonian jail. Meanwhile, Lois (Erica Durance) learns Clark trusted Tess with a secret, but didn't tell Lois. Justin Hartley directed with story by John Chisholm. Promotional Photos __________________

One of my favorites of Season 10!! By far!! This is up there with Homecoming for me. It had Zod, it had awesome Clois, it had one of the best fight scenes of the series, it had Zod (Callum Blue), Clark was beyond swoon worthy, and I loved Clark/Oliver dynamic in it as well.
The beginning was so sweet, I don't know how they didn't just jump each other at that moment because I was ready to. "My for better or worse includes your love of hair metal" hahahah He was so hot in this episode, that I was literally distracted by it. The entire time he was in the Phantom Zone I was....   I had to rewind it so I could actually listen to the dialog. I kept thinking he should have been a protagonist in a fight movie. OK now that we got my swooning out of the way.... How awesome was Oliver to risk his life to save Clark? Tess does have a point, Oliver is a little more skilled in fighting than Clark although Clark can really hold his own by this point. I know Clark is worth more than a friend to him of course so its not all personal feelings, but it's still means a lot and shows how much he believes in him. Clark/Zod... "Now I have 2 liftimes of memories and I was the enemy in both of them" "and I defeated you in both" BOOM!! I was also so interested to hear about his Kryptonian instincts. Oliver "I think we should take our chances in desert with the Phantoms instead of Zod's Thunderdom" hahahahah "Let's hope all your studying paid off because its test time" I love seeing Clark being strategic here!! He's smart and a skilled fighter in this episode! Then we have Lois being BADASS to Tess. Whoa.. I can see where both of them are coming from but Clark really needs to bring Lois into these decisions. Is there a way they could track to see if any Phantoms come out? I think thats why they stood ground right? Seems like a good compromise. I'm glad Clark learns from this experience. Oliver/Zod scene was good too.. "It must be nice being on even footing with Kal-El. It was me so demoralizing standing beside someone with god like powers." "My ego is firmly intact" The Clark/Oliver fight was spectacular!! Awesome directing here by Justin, and just a really awesome sequence! (Exile, Combat,and this one are my favs of the series, Salvation and Bizzaro are notable too) Clark really held his own against Oliver. I think Oliver from Arrow would have kicked both their asses tho. Although TW appears to be bigger/stronger then SA. There was a second where even I was questioning if darkseid had taken over Oliver since he was marked....ah when Clark got stabbed..wow. Nice move. I wonder how much of that was planned, Clark looked a little concerned. Not sure breaking the Crystal was the right move.... he has been exiled into the PZ unintentionally by enemies twice in the last 5 years. How about a better system where only the person touching them and anyone they are holding get transported out? Just saying... Then we have such a sweet Clois scene at the end. Lois  Yay and its almost wedding time! I dont know how Lois kept it together! With the wedding so close and not even a peep about postponing...and not even knowing if he would ever come back oh man.
