While I hate that at that point I can't say I was all too surprised by it

Season 9 had a couple of those moments when I felt like the writers took some character's actions one step too far. Chloe being one of them, but also Clark and Oliver.

Oliver I would agree with but I thought Clark was in the right for most of S9

Nuh, i don't think so. He acted very moody, angry even, and did a couple of things that he wouldn't have done in all of the seasons before nor in the time that followed after season 9. I mean the show even declared season 9 as "Clark's darkest hour" and accordingly to that he made some very dark decisions.

... I agree... but when it comes to the Oliver and Clark words of war I know most people will disagree but I understood Oliver point of view a lot of the time...
I love Clark, but I didn't always agree with him.
I loved that Oliver wasn't afraid to express his feelings directly.

Yes, I also agree with that. Oliver has seen bad things and he's been to dark places (literally but also metaphorically) and it has made him very mature and also a little bit pessimistic but he's never truly wrong with the things he says and how he looks at the world. Clark on the other hand is the ultimate optimist and therefore his attempts of trying to bring Oliver back on track have always sounded a bit naive. But I guess that's exactly why the two of them made such a good team. They balanced each other.

Agree. I understand Oliver because he had the angry realistic approach, while at times I liked Clark approach, it was the optimistic, seeing good in everybody approach.
You're right they balanced each other.

As far as Chloe/Lois... too bad they didn't share much scene.

They could have balanced each other as well, if they had been given more chances to interact. Lois always acted out of intuition, while Chloe listen more to her brains than her heart.

Yeah and I just wanted more woman bond friendship power. It feels like we didn't really get that on SV.
I love how even through the dark days Lois believed in Chloe.. like when Chloe returned in that Season 10 episode, so many doubted her but Lois and of course Oliver didn't.

Lois always had her back and so did Chloe. they might have done a couple of things that weren't that nice - stuff that would have caused other people to end their friendships, but not them. they always accepted each other for who they were with all of their flaws.

I agree with you on that. I loved that what brought Lois on the show was investigating her cousin's death.

One of my favorite scenes is hearing them sing on the show.
