Well I am jumping into this interesting thread now...
I did thoroughly enjoy Cless and they did have great chemistry. I thought there relationship was very interesting and it did have a touch of that sexual tension between them. I didn't "ship" them but I did enjoy their scenes together and AU sexiness. I found it interesting and exciting... but also Toxic and Abusive..clearly CL had no issues killing her by how he treated Tess in our earth Tess certainly had her doubts and I get the feeling that CL was abusive.. I almost feel like Tess would be the one in the bad position in E2 because CL was clearly darker. Tess was probably one of the few people that could handle CL though, and Tess is probably too good for CL...in other words I'd feel bad for her that she deserves better. Now maybe CL redeems himself?

Clark & Tess would have been interesting, but it wouldn't have been Clark Kent. Maybe that's why they went with the Clark Luthor angle.
