This year's nominees for the annual Leo Awards, honoring the best in British Columbia-based productions, have been announced, and Smallville has been nominated in four categories, including the following:

Best Dramatic Series:

Best Direction:

You are welcome...more news...regarding Laura Vandervoort (Kara Zor El)

Laura Vandervoort (Kara) has also signed on to star alongside Tahmoh Penikett of the Smallville episodes "Resurrection" and "Prototype" (as well as Battlestar Galactica and Dollhouse) in a four-hour Sci-Fi Channel miniseries titled Riverworld.

The Hollywood Reporter says that Penikett will play war correspondent Matt Ellman, a man who is killed along with his fiancee (Laura Vandervoort) but awakens in a mysterious world populated by everyone who has lived on Earth.

The article claims that this could serve as a pilot for a series; however, with Penikett and Vandervoort possibly having other series this Fall, that might not be happening.

The mini-series will film soon and air next year.



Stay tuned, I'm glad that Laura is getting work

Into The Blue 2 out on DVD next month as well. It's a straight to DVD release, but just like Butterfly Effect 2 (straight to DVD), it could be helpful to get Laura's name out there in a feature film (that will be somewhat popular).

You are welcome, it's good that Laura keeps finding steady work. I'd love to see her land a good female lead in a TV show, on a bigger network. (Although those shows don't last 95% of the time due to cancellations).

Tahmoh's had a "rough" life of late...working with the beautiful Grace Park on BSG, and now Eliza on Dollhouse,...add the stunning Laura V. to the list. Man, tough life...and he gets paid to do it! I should go back and yell at my career/guidance councelor in High School!

No problem, I'm yet to find what the regular newstand edition cover will look like, no doubt some photoshopped pic of Tom/Insert random cast member I think they do a good job of the exclusive covers. I prefer when 1 character gets a solo cover over a photoshopped one, unless it's a group cast pic doesn't look right
