Big? Yes, but he has acted before. But this will be his most high profile.

Well, just off the little bit we saw of him in the trailer, I'd say he has a promising future.

Just a little Ralph Fiennes bit from EW.

Quote:
In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ralph Fiennes (Voldemort in the Harry Potter films) discussesopens in new window his wish to return for the last movie and how he prepares to play a baddie.

That’s actually the hardest to do because you have to personify evil, and there’s such a history of clichés and villains and monsters. You’ve got to struggle not to play all the obvious notes. And with such extreme makeup, such an extreme look - that’s the challenge. Also, the style of the movies is so strong. The movie itself is its own machine, and you’ve got to fulfill a function of a bigger machine. It would be good to keep the sense of some kind of real psychology going on, even in all the special effects and everything. I’m not officially contracted to the last ones, but I think that’s in the cards. I want to do it. It’s just that they haven’t got a script yet, so the deal side of it isn't in place. But the indications are that it'll happen.

A new quote from Ralph about playing Voldemort:
Ralph Fiennes' constant shape-shifting - Entertainment News, Variety's U.K. Achievement in Film, Media - Variety

Quote:
"I hesitated for a bit before committing to the role because it sort of requires you to personify evil, and I don't know how you do that," Fiennes says. "I latched onto what was maybe crude psychology in working out Voldemort's obsession with Harry.

Harry was loved by his parents, which Voldemort can't stand. He is, of course, a rejected person. It's quite basic: the rejected child who's emotionally been denied affection turns violent. You have to suggest there's more there, a life, a spirit, a mind. It isn't just a creepy voice and makeup. I always think you can find more in something. It's good to just keep asking questions until someone says cut."

Good for Ralph!

I can't wait to see Little Tom in the movie. Looks promising, that's for sure.

How funny was it to see our Voldermort sharing a table with Mad-Eye Moody and just across the way from Professor Trelawney, last night at the Golden Globes? I couldn't help but laugh at the idea.
