“The Harry/Luna relationship is still quite vague. We meet Luna Lovegood, a dreamy and gullible kind of girl, in the fifth book in the Harry Potter Series. When Harry first meets her, he, like most others, thinks she is a bit crazy. But, as the story progresses, Luna actually becomes a friend of Harry's. She shows her dedication to Harry and his friends in the Department of Mysteries, something that I'm sure Harry appreciates. The Harry/Luna relationship can now be described as a friendship, but what if it's something more? Towards the end of Order of the Phoenix, it seems as if something may bloom between the two. Luna and Harry definitely are alike in some ways, which may help lead them in a path towards not only a strong friendship, but possibly a chance at love.”

[ Reasons ]

1) Harry originally thought she was weird, but now he understands her and knows he can trust her.
2) She has always believed him!
3) He realized he doesn't mind talking to her about Sirius.
4) She can see the Thestrals too.
5) She helped him get his story published.
6) She always told him what she thought.
7) She is not going to flip out over every little thing Harry does *cough*CHO*cough*
8) He's the most powerful wizard, and in case you didn't notice, she is the only one that didn't get injured at the ministry, other than Harry.
9) She is "out to lunch" as JKR put it and that may be just what Harry needs.
10) Harry found that the terrible weight in his stomach seemed to have lessened slightly. And it was because of Luna.
11) Because they both know what it's like to be talked about behind their backs
12) Because he offered to help her get back her stuff
13) Because he'd rather spend time with her than go to the end-of-year feast
14) Because they can ride off on a thestral in the moonlight without any trouble.
15) Because sometimes Luna understands Harry even better than Hermione or Ron.
16) Because he could trust Luna enough to tell her everything that was bothering him.
17) Because she makes Harry see outside his little world of the Gryffindor Common Room.
18) Because her flights of fancy help him to think outside the box.
19) Because her matter of fact manner grounds him.
20) Because Luna needs a bit of taming.
21) Because Luna doesn't need an excuse to use that Lion hat more often, but would be great if there was a special reason for it.
22) Because Luna needs someone who doesn't think she's an idiot and who's willing to stick up for her.

I'm not a fan of Smallville anymore, but I still like Lex. That was the first icon Ana made and is one my favorites, so I'm using it.

And, correcting my mistake: you're not on the path to doom, you ARE the path to doom

I can't believe how Clark can drool over such a stupid girl like Lana when he can have Chloe. Jerk.

Tonya's definitely great, she portrays Luna very well. As I said on the previous thread, my favorite part is when Luna says that Harry can cry. It's such a simple line and yet very sad and deep. Like Ana used to say, SCREAMING Luna Lovegood

Btw, where is she? Just because I had a whole day to post here she just appeared in the morning...roguish.

Hahah...I dunno where she is...I know she said she had class all day today so maybe she is busy with school stuff...that's my guess!

Yeah I always enjoy reading a good H/L fic....they always make me smile!

Especially when Luna is written so well....The part about crying was good...especially how she says that he would only cry as much as he thought he was allowed or something like that....that was a very smart observation!!! spot on!!

I'm looking foward to see Luna in HBP. I wish she were on that cover art too, I know that this might not mean too much, but I would be really disappointed if JK don't develop Luna's character much more. And it would be weird, since in one book we found out more things about Luna that we did about Ginny, for example, who's there since the first book. Luna must become a important part in Harry's life. In fact, I think she already is, but he didn't notice yet.

Ohhhh I totally agree. I would of been super happy to see her depicted on the cover or anywhere on any of the promotional items or whatnot .While I like Ginny and everything, I do think we have learned more about Luna and her character than we have about Ginny since day one..or for that fact, any other supporting schoolmate character...save Neville or whatever. I mean basically all I know about Ginny is she's Ron's sister, she liked Harry for a while, what she looks like...and that she dates quite a bit. I just don't feel any real emotional tie to her character...I guess she just doesn't interest me that much. That could change I suppose...but for now I feel more tied to Luna. Maybe it's because everyone at one time knows what it's like to be an "outsider" or not belong, etc....or maybe it's because there are just so many unknowns about her and soo much more to discover...she is mysterious and I feel she will definitely play a bigger role. She is far too much of a interesting character to waste and that would be a shame.
As far as shipping wise...I guess it's obvious who I am for...

I suppose Ginny would be a good second choice if I HAD to make one....Some say they complement each other more than H/L would...but I disagree....I would think in this situation opposites WOULD attract more...I think Ginny and Harry would have some serious tension in any possible romance...and not in a good way. They have both shown they can have major tempers and whatnot....I think they would just be to combustible. While Luna on the other hand is a calming force that I think he needs desperately at this time...I duno but I highly doubt after all this time he will start to hit on Ginny...I mean they are practically family as it is...that would just be weird...to me at least....

Well that was my mini essay there...lol....So Daniel do you live near Ana or whatever? I am assuming you know her quite well to be able to call her....

I have watched Lost before...good show...but I kinda fell away from it. My new fav show is "Grey's Anatomy"...I dunno if you guys get that show..but if you do get it, watch it..it's really good!

I must agree about the possible tension between H/G, although I don't think it's in a bad way. What worries me is the fact that Harry doesn't seem to be a guy who is up to fight, even to bicker and if Ginny has such a strong personality, their future worries me (yeah, I'm still more H/G than H/L). They wouldn't be like a new version of R/Hr (especially because R/Hr is unique). Harry is not like Ron, who's always up to discuss with Hermione and challenges her and who's not afraid to tell her what he thinks. He rathers remain calm and peaceful, which is natural. But there's the fact that Ginny might be spicy and all, but she might also be a sweet and caring girl. She might also be calm and peaceful whenever she feels to.

And I hate to say "might" but unfortunately, that's all we doppys have. Perhaps, might, if...nothing really happened between H/G =/ Yeah, he saved her and that was beautiful, but that's Harry. He's a hero, he saves people and I'm afraid to admit that the main reason why he did that was because he knew how Ginny's death would affect Ron.

God, what am I saying? You guys are a really bad inffluence!!! But I'm still a Doppy
