i've always pictured H/L dating very low-key. enjoying the beach or having a picnic, that kind of stuff.

Well, Luna's a free spirit. Harry's reckless and has little grasp on priorities, but it works out to the same thing here.

She'd probably teach him better skills at knowing when to take chances and make weird decisions and when he's just been an idiot, yes.

I just finished re-watching the first episode of this season of Lost, and I have a question... what do you think Harry and Luna would do if they got stranded on an island?

Let's not go for the obvious, 'cause I know it's a given it would be sex, alright?

Also, they wouldn't have their wands with them, otherwise they could just apparate XD

I think Luna would make no effort to leave the island, honestly. She'd probably manage to do just fine and I'm sure she'd get a distraction any time she wanted. As for Harry... he could try to come up with an idea at first, but would give up eventually. After realizing he was on a freaking desert island enjoying Luna's company I'm sure he wouldn't want to get rescued anytime soon

Harry would spend some time obsessing over how to get off. In the meantime, Luna will have foraged them a huge pile of food, built a little fort, and started a fire, all in a day's work of wandering with seeming aimlessness through the island with a curious expression as she stared at the trees.

She might even start building a raft.

Airie, how come you never wrote a H/L fic? And if you did, how come you never shared it with us? I think you get Harry and Luna so perfectly, I'd be pleased to read something you wrote

I fully agree about Luna building a raft, Harry would think it was for them to get off the island but I'm sure that would be the last thing she had in mind while building it

I started one once, but it got lost in all the busy things I had going on. I may try my hand at it again. There's something so warming and releasing about thinking from a Luna perspective especially.

And no worries, if I ever get one done, I'll definitely share it with you.

love the queston! and i agree with you, Luna won't make any effort in leaving the island. she'd just be completely fine being there. Harry would probably get worried at first but if he sees that Luna's with her, he won't mind, i'm sure. they'd probably have the best conversations ever being stuck on an island.
