Definitely. Sometimes I wish Snape was part of James' gang instead of Peter but then we wouldn't get the whole friends betrayal thing with Peter if he wasn't part of the group.

The overall plot of the series certainly would've been different had Snape been part of James' gang. I wonder if James ever knew Snape loved Lily.

I hope not. I like that no one will ever know he loved her but Harry. And even then, when Harry found out, he's dead. Very poetic I think.

I agree, I think it was something Snape maybe even felt a little bad about. He knew deep down it was his love that really got her killed and his guilt caused him to lash out at Harry. He really did care for Harry, though but the way he expressed it was horrible. We didn't see he cared until he was dying.

Yep, Snape wasn't really good at expressing his feelings. Heck, even Lily didn't know his feelings for her.

No, and I think that might have had to do with his upbringing. I don't think he had a very pleasant childhood.

Yeah, usually the same clothes and dark/black colors only. I don't think I shipped him with anyone until DH.

Same, I shipped Lily/Snape briefly in the final book/movie. I wonder what would have happened if Voldemort spared Lily and killed Harry. Would Lily live with the regret of letting her son be killed? What would life have been like for her? I wonder if Snape would have felt any remorse.

If Harry was killed, we probably wouldn't have any story to talk about anymore.
Lily might go to a dark place (if James was also killed). I still think Harry dying wouldn't fix anything between Lily & Snape.__________________

I agree, Snape already messed things up between him and Lily. If Harry died and Lily lived, I don't think she would have ever forgiven Snape for what he had done. At some point, she began to love James and grew to have a family with him, and Snape was her past and would always be.

I used to ship Lily/Snape but not anymore, since I grew to love Lily and James.
