Really? I would have thought there'd be more Ron/Luna fan art out there. This fandom has so many unconventional couples.

I think a UC that is quite popular is DHr. The other is Ginny/Neville.

D/Hr has a huge following.
I thought Neville/Luna would be more popular than Neville/Ginny. |

Ah yes, Neville/Luna is quite popular too. I ship them as well. Neville/Ginny stemmed from them being dancing partners at the Yule Ball.

I can't see Neville and Ginny being anything more than best friends. That makes sense that it would have stemmed from being dancing partners at the Yule Ball. I don't think they had any interaction alone again until Deathly Hallows after Luna was abducted.

I thought it was cute that Neville asked Ginny to the Yule Ball but (realistically) I don't see them getting together. I think Luna was more Neville's type.

I think Luna scared Neville a bit, but they could probably work.

LOL! I can just imagine Neville scared of Luna and her being 'loony'.

I think that is why Ron and Luna could work, their minds work on a different level compared to others. While Ron may seem like a lazy idiot and Luna a looney, they are really not. Their minds just function differently.

Ron was a bit uneasy with Luna at first but once he got to know her, they were alright. I think I ship Luna with Harry more though.

May I ask why you ship Luna with Harry?

It was because Harry saw past Luna being "loony". And the fact that they both had lost a parent (parents for Harry) gives them a shared experience and a different upbringing in life.

I think that's a good reason to ship them. They do have that common ground, and I think Harry was able to understand Luna's "looniness" and ability to see things that weren't there because he experienced that same ability himself. Unlike Luna, who didn't mind, Harry did mind. |
