Babbity Rabbity was my favorite! I was thuroughly disturbed by WATHH. Yeesh.

Dumbledore's commentary was Hilarious in some places too!

I picked up mine yesterday too!
I think I liked Babbity the best too. And Holy Frick Jo can be twisted and down right disgusting when she wants to be. But that's totally in keeping with how our fairytales are too so I shouldn't be surprised.

I do think the Three Brothers one was the most poignant but that might because I've had the most time to think about it's significance of it more so than the others.

I enjoyed Jo's little doodles and sketches too in the book. She's quite talented.

Bought it and read it today. It's so funny in parts of Dumbledores bits. My favorite was The Fountain Of Fair Fortune...reminded me a little of Vernan Lee

I love her sketches

The Fountain of Fair Fortune is my favourite too It's got all aspects of a fairytale. And the story of the Hogwarts pantomine was just waay to funny.

I really enjoyed the book. the Tale of the Three Brothers was the one I least enjoyed because we'd already read it but overall, fabulous piece of work. It had a nice balance of the light and the dark ... The Warlcok's Hairy Heart was kinda gross

Dumbledore's commentary was awesome. I loved the remarks and stuff he made.

And I totally want to read Grumble the Grubby Goat

Yes, I'm quite greedy

What's really great about it is that we're getting even more Hogwarts canon. Not necessarily Potter related but it definitely enriches the universe even more.

I really laughed reading about it. Also, I guess we know why Dumbledore never gave much though to Hagrid, he's already dealt with that stuff.

Beedle the Bard, the movie!?

Quote:
Cinemablend has an interesting articleopens in new window online stating that Warner Brothers is already pursuing an opportunity to bring The Tales of Beedle the Bard to the big screen.

None of these stories (from Beedle the Bard) seems to have any connection to the other, which ought to make it difficult for Warners to fit them all into a single film. Could they be planning five movies? That would seem unwise. These are short stories after all, it’s unlikely there’s enough material in any one story to justify a feature film.

According to our sources, Warners is still trying to figure out exactly how to make this work. But there’s definitely a strong interest in making Tales of the Beedle Bard: The Movie happen, once Harry Potter is over with.

This of course has not been confirmed, but we shall update you when we recieve anymore information.

It would never work cinematically, i hope they realise this sooner rather than later.

Personally, should WB decide to adapt it i think that an annual Christmas special with all 5 stories would be great, and they can further their profits by releasing it on DVD. It has the makings of an instant holiday classic.

But is it really a holiday themed book? I don't think so. It's a mishmash of morality tales, certainly. If they go the film route, I see it more as a high quality animated film. Maybe not for theatrical release but perhaps tv to DVD release.

Oh gosh, now they are totally milking it

I don't think it would work well as a movie .. a straight to DVD release yes, but that's just major HP fans you're counting on. And I don't really find it holiday themed either.
