It's the generalization. It's all canon anyway but really that's my problem with how the books described the houses. All Slytherins are evil just cause most Death Eaters come from this house. Hufflepuffs suffer the same dilemma of being the loser house just because all the other houses are much cooler than us (or cause we have a lame animal house crest).

That's always been the case though but I'm glad that somehow, Hufflepuffs are seen in a different light because of Newt. And Slytherins too because of Cursed Child.
