A friend of mine from another board was actually at the filming for the Jonathan Ross show. Here's what she had to say about some of the conversation that did not make it to final broadcast.

On teen romance, Jonathan Ross: "Will the touchy issue of, erm, virginity and increasing interest in the opposite sex come up at all in this book?" JKR: "Yes." She went on though to say, it's rather hard to write a really good love scene into a fantasy novel given that it's a fantasy novel, so really it's all about the, erm, dueling and battle between good and evil. She really wasn't giving any details away -- Ross made a remark about the difficulty of writing a sex scene which she responded to with, something like "I imagine it would be difficult" or "It would seem to be difficult," some statement that seemed to indicate she had not, herself, written one, but when Ross led on to say, well, perhaps she would write one in the future, she said, "How do you know I haven't succeeded already?"!

Hmmm interesting.
