Yeah, I was also very sad when Snape died. And the way he died was quite horrific too. And Harry was there!

Yes through Voldemort. In the book, Snape died at the Shrieking Shack.

Yes they changed it up. They asked Jo's permission and she okay-d it. I guess they wanted him to die in that scene for the 'dramatic' effect.

After Sirius dying, we get Dumbledore and then Snape (plus George, Remus & Tonks). DH had the most deaths which was understandable as there was a war.
