I will admit I am not biggest Harry Potter fan (which is why I don't come often to this board) but I loved his role in the films. Easily one of my fav. performances in the films franchise.
I have been a big fan of Alan Rickman having love his roles in Dogma, Galaxy Quest and Die Hard. This news is hard to take since earlier this week we lost David Bowie. __________________

It's not about harry potter though. I know it's what he's well known for, but it's tiring people calling him Snape, his name is Alan. Raise your wands or praise him for his role, but Snape is not him. He also portrayed Hans Gruber and Harry and many other roles, we don't call him Harry. We praise the actor that he is.

Of course he played more roles (all actors play more than just one role everybody knows that) than just one but I only know him from Harry Potter. He was a wonderful actor and he will be missed.

I just read it, so sad to hear this...
 Alan died, but it definitely also feels a bit like my professor Snape died. So many great roles, but Snape is the role I grew up with. Great actor, great loss. __________________

This is such sad news. Alan Rickman was one of my favorites. He could do comedy, action, drama ... well, anything. I'm so sad.
