Can someone point out some good L/J fanfictions that are realistic to the plotlines. (I found a fe wthat were so completely off that i didn't feel like finishing it!) also I prefer ones with a bit of sexual situations. Any suggestions??

IM new here and all but YAY new thread i love having new threads. I luv a picture i found somewhere a avatar that i could use but i need 93 more posts to get it but there are so many i could use taht i LOVE. I saw one of Lily and James from the picture in the frame on Harry's nightstand in the Dursleys. When they are dancing in the snow. I just love it.

I second this request. Good fic is hard to find.

Regarding the interview... (Technically this refers to the 3rd book but the interview as a whole is riddled with spoilers... Um, the whited out stuff is pretty safe.)

JKR: [silence] Can't tell you. But he did offer, you're absolutely right. Don't you want to ask me why James's death didn't protect Lily and Harry? There’s your answer, you've just answered your own question, because she could have lived and chose to die. James was going to be killed anyway. Do you see what I mean? I’m not saying James wasn't ready to; he died trying to protect his family but he was going to be murdered anyway. He had no - he wasn't given a choice, so he rushed into it in a kind of animal way, I think there are distinctions in courage. James was immensely brave. But the caliber of Lily's bravery was, I think in this instance, higher because she could have saved herself. Now any mother, any normal mother would have done what Lily did. So in that sense her courage too was of an animal quality but she was given time to choose. James wasn't. It's like an intruder entering your house, isn't it? You would instinctively rush them. But if in cold blood you were told, "Get out of the way," you know, what would you do? I mean, I don't think any mother would stand aside from their child. But does that answer it? She did very consciously lay down her life. She had a clear choice -

What do people make of this "Can't tell you"? Any theories out there?

The interview cleared up a lot of things for me. But I still have so many questions about them. I'm really hoping the last book will focus a little more on them, which I think it will, from what JKR has let on so far.

I think she will also explain how exactly they came together. I mean, in Snape's Worst Memory in OotP, she showed them completely at odds with each other. They liked each other secretly (I think JK confirmed it in the interview), but there's a reason, I think, that she showed them at that exact point of their relationship. I mean, she could have easily had them already together, as a couple, and have Lily tell James, her boyfriend, off for treating Snape like that. I'm pretty sure something specific happened to bring them together. *strokes chin*

i so badly wish we would get a prequel book leading up to harry's birth...but we 90% won't

unless after HP is finished JKR REALLLY misses the world and wants to write more books about it... I just want to know their storylines (lilly, james, sirius, lupin)...they intrigue me alot!

cutejanam I know what you're talking about! I need the Goddess to come forth and publish her notebooks that contain the backstory! Maybe she'd do it for charity, like Quidditch Through The Ages and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Though have you noticed something? A few years back, reporters would ask, "Will you stop at 7?" and she'd reply "Yes. Definitely." But in the interview, Melissa and Emerson asked for a book on Dumbledore and she said okay, but didn't say it would happen 100%. I think her decisions must be waning now that she's reaching the end of it all, and her fans (and by that I mean her REAL fans) still want her to give more. I hope she gives in and publishes companion books!
