Because I think most wizards are not accustomed to muggle technology. I mean look at Arthur Weasley who's completely baffled and intrigued by anything muggle. Besides, the wizards might be more interested with technology rather than hone or enhance their magic if muggle stuff was introduced at Hogwarts.

And what would they need the Ministry of Magic for if muggle technology is introduced in the wizarding world? They need to separate the existence of magic from muggles because who knows what we would do once we discover magic? We'd surely abuse it. I mean the wizarding world already has their own evil wizards, to have muggles in the mix will surely create even more havoc.

Exactly. We're generally good people but come on! With magic, we can do anything. I can finish work early, apparate anywhere, conjure up any food I want to eat, etc. It's gonna be so amazing!

I'd go to some European countries for the winter. Stay there for 2 days and then go back home. I guess it's a blessing in disguise that magic isn't real. Muggles will abuse it.
