PS/SS movie was really new and fresh. It's such a good book and movie to start off this series. Though when I look back at the movie now, I think some acting could've been improved but I still enjoy watching the movie even today.

I agree.. And the food, candies, etc.. Oh man.. Plus the way they showing all the scenes.. Amazing..

Yeah, I haven't read the books yet when the SS movie was released. I only started reading the books after seeing the movie.

Same. I've heard about the books but then they were advertised as a "children's book" and I was a proper adult already when they released the books. The phrase "Harry Potter was my childhood." doesn't apply to me.
