What is your favourite unexpected moment in the book?

Good choice.

Thanks. I've really always liked Neville from the start. He's one of my favorite secondary characters.

He's wonderful. A character that had a really good development from all the books. He was an easy target from the likes of Malfoy, etc from Slytherin but he never lost the confidence inspite of that.

I was never a big Neville fan to be honest, I guess the Bellatrix fangirl in me took over when reading his scenes

My favorite Black sister is Narcissa (I have a soft spot for the Malfoys except for Lucius). I really like Neville from the start and was so glad for the good character development throughout the books.

There are so many, I thought every chapter was unexpected since it was the beginning of the journey and everything was new But obviously the Quirrell revelation comes to mind.

Mine is definitely the Quirrell moment too and that Voldemort 'lives' within him. I thought back then it was already dark for a children's book.

I know what you mean. I do have a soft spot for this book since it's the first of the series and everything was new.

I am going to start on my re-read soon (of all the books). I can't wait!
