He was trying to help Sirius because the Dementors will attack and arrest and send him back to prison. This was the time he thought he saw James "disguised" as a deer when in reality it was really Snape's Patronus.

And at least Sirius was saved there. If Harry wasn't there, the Dementors would've gotten Sirius and sent back to Azkaban again.

Actually Snape cast the Patronus to show Dumbledore that he has the same Paronus as Lily (a doe).

It's in the book (which wasn't explained in the movie) but Hermione had taken the portrait of Phineas Black from Grimmauld Place and put it in her purse. He also has a portrait in the Headmaster's office. The portrait heard Hermione say where she was, went and told snape, Snape showed up and placed the sword (the one Harry got in the lake) then cast the Patronus.

It didn't explain in the movie why there was a sword under a lake but the book has details about it.

So far, here some of my comment..

In the book, he did have the Moster Book at his muggle home, not much later, so why they went different way in the movie?? I prefer the book version..

Harry met Cornolius Fudge once the kinght bus dropped him off at Diagon Alley, not the one that they dropped him at the hotel in the movie..

Hermion got her cat at magical creature w/ both Ron and Harry who helped him, but not enough until she choose the cat at the store at Diagon Alley..

Harry been gone stores to stores while he was alone at the Diagon Alley that his hotel was nearby..

Harry was only one who heard the whole conversation about Black, but in the movie, it was all the kids who heard..

Can they stop switch around for the movie?

Yes he did. In the movie, Fudge books Harry at the Leaky Cauldron but I don't remember them going to Diagon Alley in the movie?

I think in the movie we already see Hermione already has Crookshanks so they cut off the part where she first bought the cat.

Yeah I think they saved up the time for the movie to include all 3 hearing about Black vs. just Harry hearing it.

That made sense..

So here my comments..

- Crookshanks stay w/ Hermione on the train

- Train break down and went dark complete

- Lupin already wake up and told both Harry and Neville to tsay where they are in the room while Hermione and Ron went out to find out why it went dark unlike the movie part..

- Then both including Neville in the room w/ Lupin after Harry wake up from fainting to see if he's okay and Ginny was there, but scare.. I would like to see Neville and Ginny in that part unlike the movie did.. Sigh..

- in the book, Dumbledore was fine w/ Dementors as guards Hogwarts, but in the movie, they didn't show it.. So Dumbledore announced at the feast about Dementors guarding the school.. So, they didn't show that in the movie.. I think?

- Also, Dumbledore announced that Hagrid would taking Care of Magical Creatures to teaching since other professional retired, so he was the one who sent the Monster Book to Harry.. So why we didn't see this part about him become teacher in the movie, not much later to surprise them?

- Hagrid expelled in his third year - I really want to know more about him doing after third year??

- During Hagrid's teaching, in the book, there was more than just one Hippogriffs unlike the movie that he only brought one.. And Harry volunteer to go to Buckbeak unlike the movie that nobody didn't volunteer instead they back away that Harry was the one who look like he wanted to.. And everyone try one after Harry did.. I would like to see this part in the movie, but it seems that they went for dramatic one..

- No Dementor in Lupin's class since Lupin didn't let him to try the Boggart unlike in the movie.. Also, Lupin's fear of crystal balls which I wonder why bec of him being werewolf??

- Hagrid still teaching unlike in the movie that they revoke his teaching role..

- Harry did ask McGonagall for her signature for trip way before the field trip unlike the movie on the day they leave..

- Harry had the tea w/ Lupin while everyone else leaving to Hogsmeade and Harry asked Lupin why he didn't let Harry to try to fight w/ Boggart, Lupin didn't let Harry bec Harry's fear of Voldemort, so he didn't want to have Voldemort in the classroom..

- It seems that Snape knew that Lupin is werewolf bec he brought the entire cauldron that of potion that he made for Lupin when Lupin asked him for..

- Twins didn't gave him the map before they went to trip unlike the movie..

- Fat lady didn't tell Dumbledore that it was Sirius Black, it was Peeves the Poltergeist who told him that..
