Yeah Harry just got Sirius back only to lose him later on. So sad and tragic really.

They were. I'm sure the Dursleys will react and tell Sirius that they're legally obligated to take care of Harry as they are family but Sirius can always argue that they don't take care of him and he can be guardian. Dumbledore will help them arrange all of that.

They could've had that at least but Harry's life is meant to be tragic. He just can't have nice things in life.
