From their time at Hogwarts, where they all met and the protecting Remus everytime he becomes a wolf. All that backstory with Snape as well. Then Peter feeling left out by the group and then graduating from Hogwarts, James & Lily's wedding, then the birth of Harry and then Peter's betrayal. There IS SO MUCH to tell.

Fired from Hogwarts you mean? No, he resigned from his position when parents learned he was a werewolf. Remember that scene where he gave the Marauder's Map to Harry? That was also the time he informed Harry that he'll no longer teach at Hogwarts.

He did the right thing because if he stayed, parents will probably get mad. And it's a good thing too because that means he spent more time with Tonks.
