That's just the funniest thing ever.

I'm watching Slumdog Millionaire with my mom again tonight. We just took a small break for now. I love me some Dev Patel. My sister doesn't like him for some reason, but I really do, I think he did a very good job in this movie.

That's pretty funny.

but I'm grateful for my chance to be lazy. Not really looking forward to next year but at least I have this summer.

How you doin, dear?

Pretty good. Tried, though it's cloudy out today so that doesn't help.
I'm on FF more now with having more free time at the moment. Job search sucks at the moment with the ecomony being all crappy.

Well, pretty much anything except fastfood and babysitting. I have a hard time standing on cement floors with my arthritis and I retired from babysitting when I was 14. The only time I do is for my little brother which I can handle. My ideal job would be an office one which I'm going to a techinal college for. To get a degree on being an office assistant. Starting spot for the time being, because I am still undecided on what I really want to do and study.

There was apparently a kangaroo here that broke into a house and was caught by the owners ... jumping on the bed

Good luck for the job hunt !

I've been watching Australia and I think it's finally over. There are two movies here. The first is this story about a cattle drive which serves as travel porn and that was pretty good. The second is about the creation of a family from a group of misfits and the Stolen Generation. The problem is they shouldn't have been in same movie. If he wanted to make an Australia trilogy then he could have done something with the bombing of Darwin. The many story elements just weren't cohesive. It didn't help that the villian was just so one dimensional.

I do like that Hugh Jackman was the one to have a Cinderella moment in the movie though. Made a nice change of pace.

^ Yeah ITA. You think the movie is going to end when they arrive with the cattle thing being over but ooops, that's just the first half over. It really is two movies in one very long movie.

This is how I would watch it. Watch it through the cattle drive. Stop after the voiceover tells you how hunky dory everything is on Faraway Downs. Go do something else. Then start up the movie again and pretend you're watching Australia II: More than Just Cows and Kanagroos, the sequel to Australia: The Great Cattle Drive as Travel Porn.

I like the first half so much I'm thinking of getting the DVD. I'll just stop after they get back to Faraway Downs. The entire movie is great costume porn though if you're into pretty clothes. Sarah Ashley's wardrobe is to die for.
