It makes me nostalgic for the days when Lindsay Lohan was still a promising, fresh-faced young talent, as opposed to the tabloid joke she's become. *sigh*

I know, I'm sad as to where she is now. She was great in Mean Girls. A promising actress she was.

It was a good film. I liked the message it carried. That we girls need to be supportive of each other instead of nasty. It's counter productive.

I liked that message as well. Tina Fey did a great job writing the screenplay for it.

What's really sad is listening to the commentary for The Parent Trap and there's this one scene where one of the twins has to jump into a lake and the director was talking about how Lindsay was scared to do it so her father swam out so he could be there for her. What happened to that father? It's sad Lindsay's parents began to see her as a commodity and not their child because I do think she's got a lot of talent. Hopefully, she'll be able to pull a Robert Downey, Jr. and doesn't become her generation's River Phoenix.

In the wake of Michelle Kwan announcing she's not competing this season (and basically retiring from competition), I've been YouTubing some of her old performances and contemplating starting a "Kwan for President 2016" campaign just to needle the haters.

That is sad. Poor girl is all messed up. I hope she gets the help she needs and does pull a Robert Downey Jr.

Agreed. She does have a TV film that's suppose to be on ABC Family. I heard it' good. It might help her get back into the acting circuit.

Thank you for posting that Amy!! I've been waiting and waiting to hear something about this movie.. I heard it was being made sooo long ago. I read the book a few years back and loved it.

Goes off to watch..

eta: It looks good. I will definitely be seeing that one in theaters.
