Ah that's Armando Dippet. He was headmaster before Dumbledore. If he's headmaster, Dippet should expel Newt but why do I get the feeling that it was Dumbledore who expelled Newt? I think Newt got expelled later on during his later years at Hogwarts. I need to double check if Newt was still a student when Dumbledore became headmaster at Hogwarts.

Yeah i mean he was on the right track but i felt so bad for Credence no one cared for him , beside maybe tina.

Yeah no one cared for Credence and I think it was spot on because who would suspect he's an Obscurus? I want to know more about what being an Obscurus is and why some wizards are like that.

Yeah, Dumbledore is the teacher and not a headmaster yet but Graves told Newt in part 1 that Dumbeldore expelled him. Can teachers expel students or is that the power of the headmaster?

^ No, the teacher can't expel him, but just headmaster as long you have the evidence for reasons why he need to expel..

So that means if Newt was expelled by Dumbledore, he was already headmaster that time. In the trailer for part 2, Dumbledore is still a teacher so looks like Newt got expelled during his later years at Hogwarts.

I'd have to double check this because in the teaser, Dumbledore was still a professor so that means Dippet was headmaster that time. So I'm assuming Newt got expelled much later and it would mean that Dumbledore was already headmaster when he got expelled. As far as I know only headmasters can expel a student, not a professor.
