Me and Sanum were discussing various Luna-Ginny things and I told her how much I love that they're like the Sun and the Moon. And then she said Eclipse and we reacted very much the same way you did, Kari. Eclipse is no longer tainted. YAY.

I LOVE that second one SO much! I found it but I didn't save it and then I couldn't find it again. *saves* I especially love the artist's note about Ginny always being protective of Luna and it coming naturally to her after having protective older brothers. It was just so sweet!__________________

There is SO much we don't know about Luna. Her birthday, her middle name, her MOTHER'S name. It's funny. She's a complete mystery. But hey, that's what happens when you just pop up in the middle of a series. *pets*

I think Ginny's more protective of Luna because Luna herself doesn't think her weirdness is well weird, so Ginny sees to it that Luna isn't maligned by other people.
I've always wondered if one of the reasons why we only got to meet Luna in OoTP was because of her connection with Ginny. In the first four books, Harry, Ron and Hermione weren't interacting much with Ginny so we didn't see Ginny's friends like Luna. ETA: My eyes! My eyes! __________________

Yeah, I feel there is quite a lot about her we don't know. I wonder if the encyclopedia that Jo will hopefully write will include more info like that. I always loved the idea of her birthday being Feb. 29th, but it doesn't work with the year she should be born.
