Also after being instructed to kill Dumbledore, Draco had every right to be scared. He's lucky that Snape killed Dumbledore otherwise he & his family would be in big trouble with Voldemort.

And both Dumbledore & Snape knew that Draco won't be able to do it. It also cleverly disguises Snape as a "double agent" so to speak, if he kills Dumbledore.

Which that's why Dumbledore made sure that Snape can do it, not Draco bec both refuse to let him do it..

It sucks because Snape really has to do it, kill Dumbledore, to ensure Harry's safety. They knew they were going to be in that position.
