I do think most people loved Michael's role as Dumbledore and it's also a role he'll always be remembered for.

I was thrown off a bit when Dumbledore got re-cast but Michael hit his stride (for me) only during HBP. That cave scene is one of his best acting for all the HP movies, imo, as well as the death scene.

Yeah it was very noticeable plus their acting is very different (Richard & Michael, I mean).
