More than a few. His childhood with his father's rejection. It all stems from that just like Tom. It's a fascinating comparison. Even to how they both killed themselves.

And especially the "war strategies". But also the background as you said. He's a halfblood and kills other halfbloods and muggles. Hitler wasn't an Aryan, too and killed them who aren't Aryans. I could talk about it the whole day...

I know. And yet some say its a children's series. So much of it, especially with Tom's backstory and how he propelled his life as he grew up, can be dissected by any age and still be interesting. That's why the books will outlive us all.

And the actor did a bangin' good job of being really sinister too.

One of the highlights of the Chamber of Secrets movie, which I'm not a huge fan of in general to be honest.

Why so? I like the movie but in terms of really changing the books, I'd go with GoF.

I guess it's because it's probably my least favorite book I don't find the main storyline that interesting. I appreciate it more now because of the Horcrux plot, but as a stand alone story I thought it was the least interesting one out of the books and movies.

I understand. Mine would have to be OotP. I don't know why, I did like the idea of the whole Dumbledore's Army but overall I wish there was more to this book. Plus I was upset about Sirius' death. I did like the book for Luna.
My fave book for Voldemort would still be GoF. Damn. __________________
