It's crazy how you think Trelawney's a fraud but her predictions do really sort of come true, in one way or the other. Maybe she's not such a fake old bat after all. I can't particularly think of one thing that didn't come true. And I LOVE the "beware a red-haired man" connection! That was so hilarious. For years I wondered what the heck that meant, but oh...I just love how JKR's mind works.

I've thought about Trelawney saying Harry would have 12 kids and be Minister of Magic, and I always thought of it in correlation with Ginny. That would be really cute but I don't know if he would be Minister, do you?? Didn't JKR say he wouldn't be on her site? Besides, Harry has definite issues with the Ministry. Of course, if Scrimgeour dies in Book 7, who knows what could happen?

Yeah Harry's really not the type for politics or showmanship is he? Whatever career he ends up doing it won't be for the public celebrity and glory. He's gotten enough of that already. But he is a great leader and it's in his blood to show compassion and help people especially those who need it most. So perhaps it's not that crazy a prediction if his motivation remains the same. I think he'd be a very just and popular Minister of Magic. Either that or Ginny could take the job.

Regarding Harry being the Minister of Magic. Yeah, who knows. Stranger things have happened. I do think that it's not a coincidence how JKR has consistently shown Harry's frustration with the Ministry. Maybe this is a clue that Harry will somehow have a profound influence on changing how the Ministry of Magic operates in the future one way or another?
