She's tough, not in an unpleasant way, but she's gutsy. He needs to be with someone who can stand the demands of being with Harry Potter, because he's a scary boyfriend in a lot of ways. He's a marked man. I think she's funny, and I think that she's very warm and compassionate. These are all things that Harry requires in his ideal woman. But, I felt — and I'm talking years ago when all this was planned — initially, she's terrified by his image. I mean, he's a bit of a rock god to her when she sees him first, at 10 or 11, and he's this famous boy. So Ginny had to go through a journey as well. And rather like with Ron, I didn’t want Ginny to be the first girl that Harry ever kissed. That's something I meant to say, and it's kind of tied in. One of the ways in which I tried to show that Harry has done a lot of growing up — in “Phoenix,” remember when Cho comes into the compartment, and he thinks, ‘I wish I could have been discovered sitting with better people,’ basically? He's with Luna and Neville. So literally the identical thing happens in “Prince,” and he's with Luna and Neville again, but this time, he has grown up, and as far as he's concerned he is with two of the coolest people on the train. They may not look that cool. Harry has really grown. And I feel that Ginny and Harry, in this book, they are total equals. They are worthy of each other. They've both gone through a big emotional journey, and they've really got over a lot of delusions, to use your word, together. So, I enjoyed writing that. I really like Ginny as a character. ~ JKR ~ "I'd have to say that I was incredibly thrilled that Ginny and Harry got together!" - Chris Rankin - "My character has played her part and played it well, and now it's Ginny's turn, just as it happens in the books. I think her character deserves Harry's love." - Katie Leung - "It was interesting to see what happened with the relationship between Ginny and Harry and I think it ended well. Definitely!" - Bonnie Wright - As a fan, are you a shipper? Who do you like? "I ship all the normal ones - Ginny/Harry, Ron/Hermione." - Evanna Lynch - It'll be a family affair, Rupert Grint believes, with his Ron cuddling up to pal Hermione, while Harry hooks up with Ron's sister, Ginny. "Harry's sort of a Weasley anyhow since my parents have taken him in," - Rupert Grint - Well, here's the thing, it was in the fifth movie too, that a lot of attention was being paid to your kiss, you know... the first kiss of Harry. And now, going into the sixth movie, if memory serves, it's Ron who, you know, gets all the hot make out sessions. Well, I get... I get a kiss in this one! I kiss his sister! - Daniel Radcliffe - "We've been filming for 6 weeks now and it's going really well, it's a romantic comedy actually. She looked as though she was fighting back a smile, but kept patting Ron's arm sympathetically. - - - - - "She's part Veela," said Harry. "You were right -- her grandmother was one. It wasn't your fault, I bet you just walked past when she was turning on the old charm for Diggory and got a blast of it -- but she was wasting her time. He's going with Cho Chang." Ron looked up. "I asked her to go with me just now," Harry said dully, "and she told me." Ginny had suddenly stopped smiling. _________________________________________________  "Harry, I'm talking to you, can you hear me?" "Huh?" He looked around. Ginny Weasley, looking very windswept, had joined him at the library table where Harry had been sitting alone. ----- "You seem really down lately," Ginny persisted. "You know, I'm sure if you just talked to Cho..." "It's not Cho I want to talk to," said Harry bruskly. "Who is it, then?" asked Ginny, watching him closely. "I...." He glanced around to make quite sure that nobody was listening; Madam Pince was several shelves away, stamping out a pile of books for a frantic-looking Hannah Abbott. "I wish I could talk to Sirius," he muttered. "But I know I can't." Ginny continued to watch him thoughtfully. More to give himself something to do than because he really wanted any, Harry unwrapped his Easter egg, broke off a large bit and put it into his mouth. "Well," said Ginny slowly, helping herself to a bit of egg too, "if you really want to talk to Sirius, I expect we could think of a way to do it...." "Come on," said Harry dully. "With Umbridge policing the fires and reading all our mail?" "The thing about growing up with Fred and George," said Ginny thoughtfully, "is that you sort of start thinking that anything's possible if you've got enough nerve." Harry looked at her. Perhaps it was the effect of the chocolate-Lupin had always advised eating some after encounters with dementors-or simply because he had finally spoken aloud the wish that had been burning inside him for a week, but he felt a bit more hopeful.... _________________________________________________  A roar of celebration erupted from the hole behind her. Harry gaped as people began to scream at the sight of him; several hands pulled him into the room. "We won!" yelled Ron, bounding into sight and brandishing the silver Cup at Harry. "We won! Four hundred and fifty to a hundred and forty! We won!" Harry looked around; there was Ginny running towards him; she had a hard, blazing look in her face as she threw her arms around him. And without thinking, without planning it, without worrying about the fact that fifty people were watching, Harry kissed her. | I have no doubt in my mind that the teaser trailer is coming in May. Either May 9 or May 16 are my guesses. If Scoop heard correctly it'll be May 9.
