She's tough, not in an unpleasant way, but she's gutsy. He needs to be with someone who can stand the demands of being with Harry Potter, because he's a scary boyfriend in a lot of ways. He's a marked man. I think she's funny, and I think that she's very warm and compassionate. These are all things that Harry requires in his ideal woman. But, I felt — and I'm talking years ago when all this was planned — initially, she's terrified by his image. I mean, he's a bit of a rock god to her when she sees him first, at 10 or 11, and he's this famous boy. So Ginny had to go through a journey as well. And rather like with Ron, I didn’t want Ginny to be the first girl that Harry ever kissed. That's something I meant to say, and it's kind of tied in. One of the ways in which I tried to show that Harry has done a lot of growing up — in “Phoenix,” remember when Cho comes into the compartment, and he thinks, ‘I wish I could have been discovered sitting with better people,’ basically? He's with Luna and Neville. So literally the identical thing happens in “Prince,” and he's with Luna and Neville again, but this time, he has grown up, and as far as he's concerned he is with two of the coolest people on the train. They may not look that cool. Harry has really grown. And I feel that Ginny and Harry, in this book, they are total equals. They are worthy of each other. They've both gone through a big emotional journey, and they've really got over a lot of delusions, to use your word, together. So, I enjoyed writing that. I really like Ginny as a character. ~ JKR ~ "I'd have to say that I was incredibly thrilled that Ginny and Harry got together!" - Chris Rankin - “My character has played her part, and now it's Ginny's turn, just as it is in the books. I really think that she deserves Harry's love, and I think that Bonnie has done an excellent job playing her!" - Katie Leung - "It was interesting to see what happened with the relationship between Ginny and Harry and yeah - I think it ended well. Definitely!" [laughs] - Bonnie Wright - As a fan, are you a shipper? Who do you like? "I ship all the normal ones - Ginny/Harry, Ron/Hermione." - Evanna Lynch - It'll be a family affair, Rupert Grint believes, with his Ron cuddling up to pal Hermione, while Harry hooks up with Ron's sister, Ginny. "Harry's sort of a Weasley anyhow since my parents have taken him in," - Rupert Grint - How were the scenes with Harry's new girlfriend in the movie? Harry dates Ginny. There is a really funny scene about this. In the beginning, Ginny dates Dean Thomas, and Ron says: "You have to hate anyone who goes out with their sister as a matter of principle". Harry, ashamed, says: " Yeah, I suppose so….". He gets a little embarrassed. It's even more complicated than dating Cho. But it's a sweet and important story in the movie. - Daniel Radcliffe - Matt Lewis at Dragon*Con August 2008 was asked about the H/G stuff in the HBP film: "Oh yeah, that stuff is brilliant! With Harry and Ginny and Dean, it's all really, really fun, and it's going to be great to watch!" - Matthew Lewis - "We've been filming for 6 weeks now and it's going really well, it's a romantic comedy actually. "Well," said Ginny slowly, helping herself to a bit of egg too, "if you really want to talk to Sirius, I expect we could think of a way to do it...." "Come on," said Harry dully. "With Umbridge policing the fires and reading all our mail?" "The thing about growing up with Fred and George," said Ginny thoughtfully, "is that you sort of start thinking that anything's possible if you've got enough nerve." Harry looked at her. | I usually take one day off from HP a week, to try and control my addiction, but today the trailer meant I'm going to have to wait till monday. haha. So not expecting this. So this was a leak? I hope people have the good sense to save it...or WB have the heart to give it to us in HD. Think of how much more we'll see in HD! I'm so torn on the last scene shown. On the one hand, its hillirous. On the other...well...IDK. Its probably one moment out of hundred we'll get for our couple in this movie. I'm not worried. Does anyone else think Ginny Looks goergeous in the Burrow attack scene?
