~ What Others Have Said About H/G ~

The plan was, which I really hope I fulfilled, is that the reader, like Harry, would gradually discover Ginny as pretty much the ideal girl for Harry. She's tough, not in an unpleasant way, but she's gutsy. He needs to be with someone who can stand the demands of being with Harry Potter, because he's a scary boyfriend in a lot of ways. He's a marked man. I think she's funny, and I think that she's very warm and compassionate. These are all things that Harry requires in his ideal woman. But, I felt — and I'm talking years ago when all this was planned — initially, she's terrified by his image. I mean, he's a bit of a rock god to her when she sees him first, at 10 or 11, and he's this famous boy. So Ginny had to go through a journey as well. And rather like with Ron, I didn’t want Ginny to be the first girl that Harry ever kissed. That's something I meant to say, and it's kind of tied in.

One of the ways in which I tried to show that Harry has done a lot of growing up — in “Phoenix,” remember when Cho comes into the compartment, and he thinks, ‘I wish I could have been discovered sitting with better people,’ basically? He's with Luna and Neville. So literally the identical thing happens in “Prince,” and he's with Luna and Neville again, but this time, he has grown up, and as far as he's concerned he is with two of the coolest people on the train. They may not look that cool. Harry has really grown. And I feel that Ginny and Harry, in this book, they are total equals. They are worthy of each other. They've both gone through a big emotional journey, and they've really got over a lot of delusions, to use your word, together. So, I enjoyed writing that. I really like Ginny as a character.

We've been filming for 6 weeks now and it's going really well, it's a romantic comedy actually. He has a thing for Bonnie, Ginny Weasley actually, who's a lovely character and he does, he gets to kiss someone else in Half-Blood Prince, which is quite the romantic scene.

The train began to move. Harry saw the boys' mother waving and their sister, half laughing, half crying, running to keep up with the train until it gathered too much speed; then she fell back and waved. Harry watched the girl and her mother disappear as the train rounded the corner.

"Ginny!" Harry muttered, sprinting to her and dropping to his knees. "Ginny -- don't be dead -- please don't be dead --" He flung his wand aside, grabbed Ginny's shoulders, and turned her over. Her face was white as marble, and cold as ice, yet her eyes were closed, so she wasn't Petrified. But then she must be --
"Ginny, please wake up," Harry muttered desperately, shaking her. Ginny's head lolled hopelessly from side to side.

"You've got to help me, Tom," Harry said, raising Ginny's head again. "We've got to get her out of here. There's a basilisk...I don't know where it is, but it could be along any moment.... Please help me --"
Riddle didn't move. Harry, sweating, managed to hoist Ginny half off the floor, and bent to pick up his wand again.

"Ah, there's Penelope!" said Percy, smoothing his hair and going pink again. Ginny caught Harry's eye and they both turned away to hide their laughter as Percy strode over to a girl with long, curly hair, walking with his chest thrown out so that she couldn't miss his shiny badge.

"He -- er -- just asked Fleur Delacour to go to the ball with him," said Ginny. She looked as though she was fighting back a smile, but kept patting Ron's arm sympathetically.

"She's part Veela," said Harry. "You were right -- her grandmother was one. It wasn't your fault, I bet you just walked past when she was turning on the old charm for Diggory and got a blast of it -- but she was wasting her time. He's going with Cho Chang." Ron looked up. "I asked her to go with me just now," Harry said dully, "and she told me." Ginny had suddenly stopped smiling.

"Harry, I'm talking to you, can you hear me?"
"Huh?" He looked around. Ginny Weasley, looking very windswept, had joined him at the library table where Harry had been sitting alone.

"You seem really down lately," Ginny persisted. "You know, I'm sure if you just talked to Cho..."
"It's not Cho I want to talk to," said Harry bruskly.
"Who is it, then?" asked Ginny, watching him closely.
"I...." He glanced around to make quite sure that nobody was listening; Madam Pince was several shelves away, stamping out a pile of books for a frantic-looking Hannah Abbott. "I wish I could talk to Sirius," he muttered. "But I know I can't."
Ginny continued to watch him thoughtfully. More to give himself something to do than because he really wanted any, Harry unwrapped his Easter egg, broke off a large bit and put it into his mouth. "Well," said Ginny slowly, helping herself to a bit of egg too, "if you really want to talk to Sirius, I expect we could think of a way to do it...."
"Come on," said Harry dully. "With Umbridge policing the fires and reading all our mail?"
"The thing about growing up with Fred and George," said Ginny thoughtfully, "is that you sort of start thinking that anything's possible if you've got enough nerve."
Harry looked at her. Perhaps it was the effect of the chocolate-Lupin had always advised eating some after encounters with dementors-or simply because he had finally spoken aloud the wish that had been burning inside him for a week, but he felt a bit more hopeful....

A roar of celebration erupted from the hole behind her. Harry gaped as people began to scream at the sight of him; several hands pulled him into the room. "We won!" yelled Ron, bounding into sight and brandishing the silver Cup at Harry. "We won! Four hundred and fifty to a hundred and forty!
We won!" Harry looked around; there was Ginny running towards him; she had a hard, blazing look in her face as she threw her arms around him. And without thinking, without planning it, without worrying about the fact that fifty people were watching, Harry kissed her. After several long moments – or it might have been half an hour – or possibly several sunlit days – they broke apart.

Anyways, back to our discussion, that guy that posted about the kiss on IMDB seems to be getting a little aggravated with people that are not believing him, which makes me not want to believe them even more. When phoenix posts stuff, he always has the haters but he never really responds to them, he's just like, this is what I have and I'm sharing it with you all. This guy is like getting all worked up when we say we don't believe him, so I just think it's someone looking to get some attention and cause some drama.

I'm not sure about that guy from IMDB either. Or maybe I just don't want to believe what he says about the H/G kiss.

I just realized the girl said Bellatrix is the one who burns the Burrow. Phoenix never said who did it, so that seems to be one thing she's said that is new. I guess all we can do is keep an eye out for info on who burns the Burrow, as most of her info is older news.

And if he's truly legit, Isn't it the first instinct to back-up your story with a believable source of said story/news, and how believable would it be if your source is closer to you than just a friend-of-a-friend? At first he said he got them from a friend, but now he's telling that it was in fact his brother?

Whatever. I'll just patiently wait for that teaser trailer.... Then again, it wouldn't hurt if Phoenix has other news/update for us in between waiting.

Thanks for the new thread Sanum! Love the title. It reminds me of when DH came out and everyone thought it was funny that the sentence "...her blazing look, the feel of her lips on his -" implied that there was more to it. And of course the obvious punch line was "HIS WHAT!? Don't leave us hang'n Jo!" cue dirty thoughts.

ETA: I think it's safe to assume Bella was the one to start the fire so I'm not using that as supporting proof of anything.

Going back a little in the conversation, I'm not at all concerned if The Kiss was changed. Honestly, I can see them changing it to a quieter setting. But like everything Ginevra Girl has pointed out about this guy... his combative attitude makes me suspicious.

We shall see when more official stuff comes out. The trailer can't get here fast enough.

It could of been changed. It may not be the RoR where they have their first kiss. For all we know the kiss could be infront of everybody on the quidditch pitch. Not likely but could be. Though like I said before I am taking this news with a grain of salt.
Though I am perparing myself for the change in the first kiss. Though I would be happy with whatever they have as long the shoot the romance between Ginny and Harry right.

From reading the script Phoenix gave us, I thought it was pretty obvious that it was Bellatrix who set the Burrow on fire, otherwise why would she even be there?

And considering the fact that the Weasleys were all chasing after her...it just seemed to make sense in my mind. I don't think Greyback would have done it. He's far too interested in biting people.

I'm fine with the kiss changing, at least I am now. It wouldn't be the end of the world if it was changed. At first I was, well... I guess the word would be sad. Sad that we'd lose the common room kiss. But I'm okay with it now, which is why I'm glad I already think this now.

I PMed the person asking why Ginny was there with Harry. He said this:

He's isn't there to hide the book because before H/G get together Harry hides the book there alone..unless they changed it of course.

Harry has the book with him in a screen cap when he's in there with Ginny, so it's very likely they could've changed that.

In Marybongiovi's icon it looks like the Gryfindoor common room because of the colour of the curtains but I'm probably wrong
