It's true.

I was watching a lecture on relationships and the importance of laughter to keep it strong. So course I immediately thought of H/G!

The reason why Harry and Ginny hit it off so well and continued to thrive is because they share the same sense of humour. Harry immediately felt comfortable with the moment they shared a giggle. From then on he knew she would get him. They both tease Ron the same way. Their sarcasm is the same. The bond is strong because they know instinctively they're humour connection won't be broken. And it was that comfort that allowed Harry's attraction towards her to grow and develop into love. Without laughter in the relationship their bond wouldn't be as strong. And that's why Ginny's so valuable to Harry's well being overall and vice versa.

Exactly..The obvious features in Ginny's character are her sarcasm and her fierceness and her smartness. When Ginny was still shy around Harry, Harry didn't think much of her but Ron's sister. However, when she showed her true self, He liked her admired her and fell in love with her. I truly believe that Ginny is Harry's soulmate because they are much alike. Harry is also fierce, smart ( not all the time

) and sarcastic. In the awesome scene in HBP movie Harry told Ron What he sees in Ginny. Smart, funny and attractive. That's why she caught his attention in the first place.

And when life is tough, if you can find someone to laugh with and who you have that easy way with each other, you know you can get through anything. That's why Harry, even as a teen, recognized 'his best source of comfort' was Ginny. That's profound for someone so young. He just knew she was the one.
