Banner by niniebou WELCOME TO THE APPRECIATION THREAD FOR LAVENDER BROWN/JESSIE CAVE ~ ABOUT LAVENDER BROWN~ The best friend of Parvati Patil, Lavender tends to squeal and giggle a lot, and generally gives the impression of being silly; she's keen on Divination, for instance, having been convinced of Trelawney's powers after a vague prediction on the first day of class turned out (from one point of view) to have predicted the death of her pet rabbit, Binky (PA8). In their fifth year, Lavender initially believed the Daily Prophet's insinuations about Harry, but Hermione shut her up (OP12). Lavender attended the Yule Ball with Seamus Finnigan (GF22, OP11). Later during her sixth year, she managed to attract Ron and they had a hot and heavy relationship. Lavender's saving grace is that she had the courage to be chosen for Gryffindor; during Hagrid's disastrous experiment to determine whether Blast-Ended Skrewts hibernated (they do not), Lavender, far from fleeing with the Slytherins, stayed to help and got burned (GF22). Unlike Seamus, Lavender joined Dumbledore's Army when it first formed (OP16). Further proving why she was a worthy Gryffindor, she stayed at Hogwarts in the final battle to fight along with the rest of the members of the DA and the Order. She was attacked by Fenrir Greyback during the battle however, but was saved by Hermione. | Awesome, thanks for starting the new thread Lindsay!  I'm now back from my travels, so I'm gonna be a lot more active than I was last week. Lol.ETA: I just saw the post in the Leo thread that said something about Lavender wearing glasses in HBP!?! What are they doing? Why would they want to cover up Jessie's beautiful eyes with glasses? 2nd ETA (lol): Apparently there's going to be an interview with Jessie in the next issue of Teen Bop or Tiger Beat. Lol. | About the glasses thing ... I heard about that. That would be weird. About the article ... Thank you for the information, Meghan. | I read someone's comment on this, I think it was on a different forum, that they could have put her in glasses, like having Lavender wear them because she thinks Ron likes smart girls, and that's her attempt to be like Hermione or something, cause she thinks she looks brainy with glasses or something.
