Thanks Lady and Alex!
http://www.mugglenet.com/ Interesting question from Chris Rankin PoA webchat Were there any deleted scenes that you thought should have stayed in the movie? I think the bit in the book where Sirius breaks into the Gryffindor dormitory. It was filmed but sadly didn't make it in and was followed by a scene in the common room where we're all half asleep in pyjamas. |

Empire Interview with Daniel Radcliffe - GoF
Have you met the new director, Mike Newell, yet? We've been discussing the script. It combines the action of the second with the emotion of the third and it's just brilliant. He's lovely, really nice. The thing I like about his films is that there's not a bad performance in them so I think this one's going to be a really great film. Are you concerned about the length of The Goblet of Fire? It is long but there's a lot you can get rid of, I think. There will be a lot of people out there who will be saying, "Well, why haven't you dome this and that?" Because we don't have a nine-hour film! What are you looking forward to? I'm not looking forward to the dragons too much because it does mean getting on a brromstick, which is not the most comfortable place. The underwater stuff will be amazing, though. I'm doing scuba diving at the moment in training for that. And this one's the darkest Yeah, the thing I'm looking forward to doing most is the graveyard scene at the end with Voldemort, because in the script it's horrific. Harry is tortured. It's amazing. I don't want to say it's disturbing but it's a really horrific prospect to have a 13 year-old in that situation, and Cedric Diggory dies in front of Harry, just like that. It's not laboured over like, "Shall I kill him, shall I not?", like a James Bond-style death. It's just he's there and then he's dead. It's really, really dramatic. The fourth film is, as Mike Newell says, the perfect thriller. It's going to be amazing. Do you think you'd like to be in all of them? I don't know. The fourth one will take a year to film, pretty much, then come out about another half-year after that. It's too far ahead to think about at the moment. Are you signed up for the fifth? No, just the fourth. Presumably you've read the fifth book, Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix. Do you read them now, with an eye on particular scenes? The kissing bit would be nice. I look at them thinking, "I wonder if I'll be doing that in a couple of years?" Before, when I visualised the books, I visualised them as cartoons, and now reading them I can't fail to think of me doing it. It's weird. Do you like the fact that there's a different director for each film? Yeah, because it keeps it fresh. How lucky am I to work with Chris Columbus, Alfonso Cuaron and now Mike Newell? It's amazing. I think it just keeps it challenging, which is what I need. If it's really easy then I do a kind of half-arsed job, so I need a challenge to keep me motivated. Thanks klovis from HP Official forum! |

I don't know why this is a big deal - actors have been playing younger than they are for years. The trio aren't even that much older than their characters - Emma's the same age as Hermione, isn't she? Recasting would be a very bad idea. __________________

Hi there, newbie to the HP forum, having loads of fun!
Great examples of older actors playing younger parts, Harry Potter is such a sensation, we are all so into these characters and becoming so invested in the actors that portray them...I for one would stay the course and absolutely want the current leads to continue, especially Dan and Emma, they ARE Harry and Hermione, hands down! I just pray it all works out. hammergal __________________

hey hammergal! welcome to the forum!
there's only 4 days left for me to see PoA, I'm so excited And thanks for posting that interview with Dan, it's amazing Quote:
The pre-production process in a film usually takes between 2-4 months. And it started on March, so I guess the filming will start in July. |

Fluer has been cast! wheee. I'm actually really happy because this is the first time my own choice has been picked. She's a french actress called Clemence Poesy. She was in a BBC drama called 'Gunpowder plot and treason'. Thought she was very good in it.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/cbbcnews/hi/tv...00/3806067.stm She looks older in the pic above but she can look very young too. __________________
