He can’t know that snape will have the moral or physical courage to change course, let alone help defeat voldemort. Yet still, dumbledore goes to the hilltop."

J.K. Rowling on Jamie Parker as Harry Potter: ‘He simply is Harry now. There's a kind of relief in watching him, he gets it so right.’

J.K. Rowling on Poppy Miller as Ginny Potter: I think a lot of people would like to have Poppy's Ginny for a mother. Kind and cool, exactly as I imagined her.’

J.K. Rowling on Sam Clemmett as Albus Potter: ’There's much I could say about Sam-as-Albus, but we'd be into spoiler territory so quickly I'll just say we couldn't have cast better.’

“Career of Evil” Shortlisted for Crime Fiction Award

Quote:

It’s good news for Robert Galbraith (a.k.a. J.K. Rowling), whose third book, Career of Evil, has been shortlisted for a prestigious crime fiction award. The novel, which was released last autumn, returns to the world of detective Cormoran Strike.
The novel has now been shortlisted for the Theakstons Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year. Other authors shortlisted for the award include Mark Billingham, Eva Dolan, Renee Knight, Clare Mackintosh, and Adrian McKinty. One of the judges, Simon Theakston, commented on the shortlist, stating that
it’s a remarkable shortlist that shows the crime genre shapes our cultural landscape and dominates publishing.
The winner of the award, which has previously been awarded to authors such as Lee Child and Sarah Hilary, will be announced at the Theakstons Festival on July 21. The Theakstons Crime Writing Festival takes place July 21–24 in Harrogate, UK. The winner of the award is decided by public vote, as well as a team of judges. Voting will be open from July 1 until July 15, and you can vote here.
A huge congratulations to Robert Galbraith on being shortlisted! Make sure to check back at the beginning of July to vote for the novel.

J.K. Rowling on Paul Thornley playing Ron Weasley: ‘Ron in his forties isn't very different from Ron in his teens, except that his feet hurt a bit more. Paul's so funny and brilliant in the role.’

J.K. Rowling on Noma Dumezweni portraying Hermione Granger: 'I saw Noma workshop the part and when John Tiffany told me he'd cast her, I was overjoyed. She gets Hermione inside out.’

J.K. Rowling on Cherrelle Skeete bringing Rose Granger-Weasley to life: ‘Rose is like her mother, but more secure, more grounded. She was born to wizards and knows her place in the world. Cherrelle plays her perfectly: bossy but deeply loveable.’
