Ron is a member of the Weasley Family, a pure blood family, whom reside in "The Burrow" outside Ottery St. Catchpole. Along with Harry and Hermione, he is a member of the Gryffindor house. He's a comical character often called upon to lighten the mood but is immensely loyal to Harry. He is sarcastic, passionate, hot-headed and often wears his heart on his sleeve.

Rupert Alexander Lloyd Grint was born on August 24th 1988 in Harlow, England, UK, to parents Nigel and Jo.He's the eldest of 5 siblings.Rupert was already a big fan of the Harry Potter books when he heard of the chance to try out for the role of his favorite character in the series, Ron Weasley. It was on the BBC children's news program and website, CBBC NewsRound, that he first came to know about the auditions for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Unlike the other kids, however, Rupert's audition-video was original, creative and funny. Filmed by his mom, it featured a skirt-wearing Rupert, pretending to be his female drama teacher and performing rap/hip-hop lyrics, which he wrote himself, about how much he wanted the role, and why he deserved to be chosen to play Ron Weasley in the films. His video captured the attention of the casting department so much that Rupert got a call right away to come in for more auditions, and the rest, as they say, is history...

Deathly Hallows

"Death's got an Invisibility Cloak?" Harry interrupted again.
"So he can sneak up on people," said Ron. "Sometimes he get's bored of running at them, flapping his arms and shrieking.. sorry, Hermione."

"Come here," he said, and led the way, brushed snow from the rock's surface, and held out his hand for the Horcrux. When Ron offered the sword, however, Harry shook his head.
"No, you should do it."
"Me?" said Ron, looking shocked. "Why?"
"Because you got the sword out of the pool. I think it's supposed to be you."

"Ron was great," said Tonks warmly, relinquishing her hold on Lupin. "Wonderful. Stunned one of the Death eaters, straight to the head, and when you're aiming at a moving target from a flying broom.."
"You did?" said Hermione, gazing up at Ron with her arms still around his neck.
"Always the tone of surprise," he said a little grumpily, breaking free.

"I do that every time. Oh, here she is," Ron added, craning around in his seat to watch Hermione reentering the kitchen. "And what in the name of Merlin's most baggy Y Fronts was that about?"

"But how did you get in there?" he asked, staring from the fangs to Ron. "You need to speak Parseltongue!"
"He did!" whispered Hermione. "Show him, Ron!"
Ron made a horrible strangled hissing voice.
"It's what you did to open the locket," he told Harry apologetically. "I had to have a few goes to get it right, but," he shrugged modestly, "we got there in the end."
"He was amazing!" said Hermione. "Amazing!"

Harry Stunned the Death Eater as the passed: Malfoy looked around, beaming, for his savior, and Ron punched him from under the Cloak. Malfoy fell backward on top of the Death Eater, his mouth bleeding, utterly bemused.
"And that's the second time we've saved your life tonight, you two-faced bastard!" Ron yelled.

"Why are they all staring?" demanded Albus as he and Rose craned around to look at the other students.
"Don't let it worry you," said Ron. "It's me. I'm extremely famous."

RUPERT/RON ON OUR BIG SCREEN!!

+Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince (July 17 2009)+
In Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince Rupert returns as lovable sidekick Ron Weasley. In Half-Blood Prince romance and intrigue are the main themes. As not only is Harry learning more about Voldemort and how to defeat him, but romance is kicked into high gear as Harry realizes the love of his life is Ron's sister, Ginny Weasley while Ron himself becomes confused over his feelings for his best friend, Hermione Granger. A major triangle between him, Hermione and Hogwarts Gryffindor student Lavendar Brown become entangled in one of the best fictional love triangles this side of the wizarding world. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is due in theatres on November 21st, 2008.

News on Wild Target!!!!!

Then he'll go back to filming Deathly Hallows for several more months before its 2010 release.
