Past Winners:

Albus Dumbledore: "There are all kinds of courage. It takes a great deal of courage to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends."

Hermione Granger: "You said to us once before," said Hermione quietly, "that there was time to turn back if we wanted to. We've had time, haven't we?"

Ron Weasley: "I love you, Hermione."

Sirius Black: "You should have died! Died rather than betray your friends, as we would have done for you!"

Luna Lovegood: "Oh … well …" she shrugged. "I think they think I'm a bit odd, you know. Some people call me 'Loony' Lovegood, actually."

Remus Lupin: “I am sorry too,” said Lupin. “Sorry I will never know him… but he will know why I died and I hope he will understand. I was trying to make a world in which he could live a happier life.”

Fred & George Weasley: "You're a prefect? Oh Ronnie! That's everyone in the family!" [Molly Weasley]
"What are Fred and I? Next door neighbours?"

Harry Potter: "I realised I can’t shut myself away or crack up. It could be me next, couldn’t it? But if it is, I’ll make sure I take as many Death Eaters with me as I can and Voldemort too, if I can manage it."

Current Game:

Lord Voldemort / Tom Riddle

1) I can speak to snakes. I found out when we've been to the country on trips — they find me, they whisper to me."

2) "He is at Hogwarts, that faithful servant, and it was through his efforts that our young friend arrived here tonight...."

3) "You do not seek to kill me, Dumbledore?" called Voldemort, his scarlet eyes narrowed over the top of the shield. "Above such brutality, are you?"
"We both know there are other ways of destroying a man, Tom." Dumbledore said calmly. "Merely taking your life would not satisfy me, I admit – "
"There is nothing worse than death, Dumbledore!" snarled Voldemort.

4) "How touching ..." it hissed. "I always value bravery ... Yes boy, your parents were brave.... I killed your father first, and he put up a courageous fight ... but your mother needn’t have died … she was trying to protect you ... Now give me the stone unless you want her to have died in vain."

5) "Lord Voldemort is merciful. I command my forces to retreat, immediately. You have one hour. Dispose of your dead with dignity. Treat your injured. I speak now, Harry Potter, directly to you. You have permitted your friends to die for you rather than face me yourself. I shall wait one hour in the Forbidden Forest. If at the end of that hour, you have not come to me, have not given yourself up, theb attle recommences. This time, I shall enter the fray myself, Harry Potter, and I shall find you, and I shall punish every man, woman, and child who has tried to conceal you from me. One hour."

6) "Haven't I already told you," said Riddle quietly, "that killing Mudbloods doesn't matter to me any more? For many months now, my new target has been -- you."

7) "I miscalculated, my friends, I admit it. My curse was deflected by the woman's foolish sacrifice, and it rebounded upon myself. Aaah ... pain beyond pain, my friends; nothing could have prepared me for it. I was ripped from my body, I was less than spirit, less than the meanest ghost ... but still, I was alive. What I was, even I do not know ... I, who have gone further than anybody along the path that leads to immortality. You know my goal – to conquer death. And now, I was tested, and it appeared that one or more of my experiments worked ... for I had not been killed, though the curse should have done it. Nevertheless, I was as powerless as the weakest creature alive..."

8) "Don't be a fool," snarled the face. "Better save your own life and join me ... or you'll meet the same end as your parents .... they died begging me for mercy."

9) "You know of course, that they have called this boy my downfall?" Voldemort said softly, his red eyes upon Harry, whose scar began to burn so fiercely that he almost screamed in agony. "You all know that on the night I lost my powers and my body, I tried to kill him. His mother died in the attempt to save him -- and unwittingly provided him with a protection I admit I had not foreseen.... I could not touch the boy."

10) "Voldemort," said Riddle softly, "is my past, present, and future, Harry Potter."

11) "We bow to each other, Harry," said Voldemort, bending a little, but keeping his snakelike face upturned to Harry. "Come, the niceties will be observed.... Dumbledore would like you to show manners.... Bow to death, Harry...."

12) "Certainly," said Voldemort, and his eyes seemed to burn red. "I have experimented; I have pushed the boundaries of magic further, perhaps, than they have ever been pushed."

13) “Get back here, Potter! I want to see your face when I kill you! I want to see the light leave your eyes!”

14) "Harry Potter is dead. He was killed as he ran away, trying to save himself while you lay down your lives for him. We bring you his body as proof that your hero is gone.The battle is won."

15) "Greatness inspires envy, envy engenders spite, spite spawns lies. You must know this, Dumbledore."

16) "But it makes no difference. In fact, I prefer it this way. Just you and me, Harry Potter... You and me...."

17) "There is no good and evil, there is only power...and those too weak to seek it."

18) "I have nothing more to say to you, Potter," he said quietly. "You have irked me too often, for too long. AVADA KEDAVRA!"
