Dumbledore knew this of course but he really can't do anything because he's not family and the Dursleys are muggles so it's out of his "jurisdiction" so to speak.

It could've turned bad for him. What if he was friends with the wrong sort and Dumbledore was the villain? Harry would've gone to the dark side so easily.

Yeah at least he was surrounded by good people and was never in the wrong side. With both of his parents dead, it's good to know that Harry was well protected by others that aren't his blood.

If I was Harry, I'd do that too. Why spend time with the Dursleys when all they'll ever do is lock him up?
