Okay let's discuss this scene from DH part 2. One of my favorite scenes but also I can't remember much from the book part. I think they changed up a lot of this scene from the book in the movie. This was the part Neville came forward and was such a Gryffindor about the whole thing.

But I do not remember Neville went up to him in the book..

Yeah me too. I know it was mostly just Voldemort & Harry during this part. I don't even remember if the rest were there (the Malfoys, the Weasleys, etc.)

Yeah since everything I know that mainly focus on Voldemort and Harry, but anyone else, not much.. But hopefully that I will get to there..

If they changed it up, then I can understand. I guess they want this to be the climactic event for DH2 so they had all of the cast together in that scene.

I like Ralph very much but did you think he was a bit overreacting in this scene? There were some comments by fans that Ralph was overdoing it in that scene.

I do think Voldemort was going mad and a bit happy there because he knows that he's got Harry and was really gonna kill him. I don't know about Ralph overreacting tbh. I saw it as Voldemort finally face to face with Harry again and this time it was a duel to the death. He is so close to killing Harry that he's delighted about it. Sure, I can see why the acting is a bit of an overreaction but how is Voldemort supposed to act in-front of Harry who he always wanted to kill since he was a baby? So I don't know. I'm fine with it but I also understand why some people found it as an overreaction.

Yeah, I mean, he been waiting so long to have that moment w/ Harry.. I feel like the acting was fine to me.. I mean, I only saw once..

And that too. He's waited so long to be in that moment with Harry and that he was finally gonna kill him. And honestly , I don't know how else Voldemort should be in that scene? Should he be less enthusiastic, less crazy, unemotional? Because he I don't think he shouldn't be feeling those things either.

Yup, that's right.. Even though, I guess that it hard to show that from the book to movie.. Not sure if that made sense..

That makes sense. I guess book readers would know the scene vs. casual movie only HP fans. I know Michael Gambon was also criticized for making Dumbledore too excitable.
