I love that scene and it show that he put the motivate for them to study to win the reward if the students can put their effort to know how to make one.. Ugh.. I always enjoy that..

I agree. I actually like Slughorn. I would want some liquid luck too so I'll do my best to make a potion to be able to win one.

Same here plus he's more patience as long he can allow the students to make the mistakes than calling them dumb..

Out of all the professors they have had, he's the one that I finally liked from the get go.

He did. He fought to bring justice & honor for Dumbledore's death.

During the Battle of Hogwarts, Slughorn sided with the defenders of Hogwarts, gathering reinforcements from Hogsmeade, and engaged his former pupil in a duel alongside Minerva McGonagall and Kingsley Shacklebolt. He survived the battle and had retired a second time by 2016, having a portrait hung in the Slytherin Dungeon.

Also because of his bravery and since he's from Slytherin, perceptions about the house changed when he fought alongside everyone at the Battle of Hogwarts.
