Yeah, it's a post Hogwarts fic. I liked it, the writing and plot were both good/conceivable.

Been doing lots of editing! Excerpt:

He had no idea how long he was in that room, reading Sirius’s last will and lost in his thoughts. The lantern had burned low and Harry realized that his joints were sore and his back was frozen stiff. Someone was knocking on the door. Folding the letter and taking a deep breath, he hurried to open it. “Harry,” It was Lupin, wearing ill-fitting pajamas and looking especially haggard in the dim illumination. “You’ve been up here by yourself for three hours. It’s past midnight, everyone’s already gone to bed. Is everything - ” “It’s OK, Remus.” said Harry quietly. After a moment’s hesitation, he gave Sirius’s letter to Lupin to read. Keep an eye on that werewolf of ours. Lupin was now the last Marauder - the last remaining real link to his parents. He watched as Lupin read his old friend’s messy scrawl, his eyes glazed over - until he smiled as he read Sirius’s brief mention of him at the bottom. Harry respectfully let Lupin take whatever time he wanted. After all, Sirius had been as dear to Lupin, possibly more so in some ways, as he was to Harry...and Harry was fully aware that this would be the very last Moony would hear of his old friend Padfoot. Finally, smiling sadly, Lupin carefully handed the letter back to Harry. “He loved you, Harry. You should’ve heard some of the things he said about you. Positively glowed at times, you’d think he’d have conceived you himself.”

Theme: Friendship, romance, adventure, time-travel (must be complete), family, hurt/comfort, angst.

Depends on what kind of AU it is.

Everything has to be canon or closely resembling canon.

Yeah same with me. More often I have issues with AU if it deviates so much from the SLs and if the characters are OOC. Though sometimes I can look past it if they're written well.
